Ashton McKissack a typical high school football player that has alot going for him and Gionna Daddio a typical high school popular but nerdy girl. Brandon was walking to class when he first met Gionna because of one his teammates had knocked her down on purpose as she had dropped her books upset that her notes had flown everywhere in the empty hallway. "You okay?" Ashtkn had asked the short girl with a smile. "Y-yes, thank you." Gionna had said with a huge stutter shocked a football player noticed her. "You're Gionna, right?" Ashton had then asked another question as he helped collect her notes. "Yeah, ain't you the star football wide receiver?" Gionna said throwing out her own question. "Yes I am cutie." Ashton replied with such a smile as he called her the nickname. "Well hows this why dont i walk you the rest of the way to class so my friends wont mess with you." Ashton explained as he looked Jones after he purposely did that. "If you dont mind. Could you?" Gionna replied smiling brightly as she grabbed her books holding her skirt down as she bent down. "And thank you for the help Ashton." Gionna then spoke before Ashton could say anything. "Its not a problem G, I don't mind helping out with the nerds." Ashton said with a smile as he put his arm around her shoulder as they walked towards the math hall. "Hows this for now on wait till I get to your class after the bell rings and I'll keep you close so my teammates wont mess with you." Ashton then said as he got out of Jones' view as he pulled her closer to him so they were walking side by side. "I would appreciate that so much, you wouldn't know how much that would help getting to class easier." Gionna said as she was a freshman and she was being escorted by a Junior as most of the girls they walked by were shocked by this big time. "Hey, you blondie!!" A girl's voice could be heard as Gionna had quickly looked over her shoulder as the brown hair best friend could be seen standing there looking a bit pissed. "I don't understand why my friend here is near a nerd like you but I would like it if you backed off." Aaliyah had said as she stood there with her friends behide her. "Aaliyah Grace, I have her near me for a reason. I don't need Jones and Mitch messing with her anymore. I mean damn if you seen what they did to her last time when she was getting stuff from her locker, they pulled her skirt up showing her panties to everyone." Ashton said defending Gionna without a second thought in his mind. "I doesn't matter Mckissack, you know how clicks work in school, jocks stay away from nerds." aaliyah said rudely as she tapped her foot on the school flooring. "Aaliyah that's enough. Gionna needs protection from them and whenever you like it or not, she is staying with me." Brandon growled back in his husky voice with a pissed off look on his face. "Now if you're done being a bitch, she needs to get to class without a fucking tardy on her record." Brandon then said keeping Aaliyah from speaking as he pushed Gionna forward a bit keep his hand on her shoulder letting her know it was time to walk forward. Ashton and Gionna made it to the 'Freshman Math Class' as the bell had just rang keep Gionna from getting that tardy as Ashton would get away with it as he was the star wide receiver, none of the teachers ever gave him a tardy. Gionna felt special as she never seen her Freshman year going like this, a Junior escorted her all day every day for the next two years but by her Junior year, Ashton had finished high school leaving the now popular Gionna to herself as he went to play for LSU and get his law degree since then they never seen each other till the following summer. Gionna was excited to see her now boyfriend for the first time in an entire year as she had gotten a scholarship to LSU for the fall after her senior year.
