The past few days have been full of tears and comfort. I headed to Tampa to see Roman, hours after his phone call. I nor he has brought up the elephant in the room also known as Aliyah. He and his family have been making proper arrangement for the funeral.
" Roman?" I knock on the door of his master bedroom. I knew he isn't going to respond so I go ahead and open it. I see him wrapped in his blanket, only letting me see shoulders and up. I walk over near his side and lay in his arms. " How are you doing today?"
He is silent at first as if he is questioning to answer. " I am... Adjusting." He then scoots over and put the covers over me letting me lay down. " Nicole, thank you so much." I lean in to give him a sweet and quick kiss.
" No problem. But Roman do you need help with anything? And I mean anything at all?"
" All I can ask for you to be here for me."
" Definitely. But what about Galina?"
" I know, don't worry about it. I really don't know why my mom invited her, but I invited Seth, Paige, and other wrestlers so you won't be the odd one out." I then get out of the bed and make my way to the door until I him say something. Is this my apologie or at least a thank you? I turn back around and looks at him. " Nicole, can you bring me the remote to the tv." He then points to it on the tv stand.
I do as he says, and wait for a little while. " Anything else."
" Umm... No, don't think so."
"Perfect." I saw then walks out, knowing in my head I was thinking the exact opposite.
