Chapter Ten

[Sandy]

(Okay. Weird. But yeah. Gtfo,I like Sandy next to Jack. XD)

Nightmares again ! I whipped each horse that attempted to attack me. And turned them to beautiful dreams of course. I can't help but to smile.

"Bunny ! Did you launch the aurora thing already ? We need more elemental guardians here !" North said as he sliced nightmares with his swords.

"I did,mate ! Agh,that frost bite is always missing everytime something goes up !" Bunny said,grunting and throwing his boomerangs at the nightmares. I made a muted huff. That cottontail should probably stop hating on Jack. That easter thing was YEARS ago !

"And who said that we aren't coming ?"

Everyone paused and turned to the door. Finally ! I really want to have my sleep after this.

Tiffa got off from Jack's hold,then started targetting Pitch. Oh no,she can't do that ! Pitch is tricky. She can't go alone !

I flew over to Tooth,who was exhausted from flying around. I tugged on her wing,making her turn. "Yes Sandy ?"

I made a worried frown,pointing at Tiffa as they somehow exited North's workshop. I hope they understand me this time !

Tooth gave a nod,seeming to understand. Yay !

"Jack, Tiffa followed after Pitch !" She yelled out. Jack stopped at his tracks of freezing nightmares in a beat of 1-2-3-4,eyes wide in shock. "What ?!" He ducked,dodging an attack from a nightmare and freezing it.

"Sandy said they just exited the workshop !" Tooth said. I glared at a nightmare behind Jack,whipping it and grazing his white hair,before nodding.

"Can you guys handle it here ?" He asked,flying to the exit and stopping to look at us. Everyone nodded. "They won't increase without Pitch. Go on !" North said in his thick russian accent.

"Are you—"

"Just go now,frost bite ! We can handle this !" Bunny made a confident smirk. "We'll finish this as quick as a bunny."

Jack smirked at his mocking,then flew off. I smiled a bit,then continued helping the rest of us.

[Tiffa]

"You're not going to flee again,Pitch !"

I yelled out in anger,sending flashes of fire at him. Pitch dodged them,commanding the horse to take him far off by the reins.

But I swear,when he turned,I saw him wearing a happy—yet evil—grin. Like this is in his plans…

My stamina was quickly dropping. Heck,flying takes a lot of energy !

I hope no one noticed. I can't place myself into trouble and expect them to save me. No more weak Tiffa this time.

"Tiffa !"

I gasped,looking around as I heard a boy's voice. It sounded like… Jack ?

I stopped,turning. But he wasn't around. I was all alone. And the voice had an echo. Gritting my teeth,I turned back forward,but Pitch was gone. Tch… Damn it…

"Tiffa !"

Where the hell does that voice come from ?! Growling in irritation and in my failure of confronting Pitch,I followed it. Man,I'm sure gonna give that person a first or second degree burn if I find out that he's playing jokes on me.

"Tiffa !"

The voice continued to linger around my ears. Turning left,I felt like I'm getting closer… But I'm heading to Burgress's woods. Huh…

I stopped on the lake where Jack and I skated at. But it was darker than usual…

Afraid that the voice of that boy echoes again,I ran down the rest of the path I found.

"Tiffa !"

Now that wasn't echo-ey. But the same voice. I turned around,seeing Jack inches away from me. He gently flew off and landed beside me,sighing.

"Oh.. Hey J—"

I was speaking. But something interrupted me. Before I even knew it,a small clang of a wooden staff was heard. Cold arms were wrapped around me tightly. I can smell sweet mint from his white hair,which was very close to my face. My eyes went wide in surprise and shock,taking a step back to keep my balance.

"Please,don't do that again ! You worried me to bits ! I thought Pitch already got you !"

I felt my whole body freeze. Not literally freeze,but involuntarily freeze. In shock.

Jack Frost. Is. Hugging. Me.

Jack Frost.

Hug.

Me.

He's hugging me.

Tip. He also was worried.

Jack Frost is worried over an invisible guardian like me ?

I dropped my staff and a clang followed. It's gem color suddenly changed from flaring red to pinkish purple. My face flared redder than the fire I create.

What should I do ?
