"Imogen... Imogen, please!"

I didn't listen to him as I got out of his car and slammed the door shut. Tears were streaming down my cheeks, vanishing in the cold before they reached the scarf covering my mouth. Him ...

I walked away from the bright red car briskly, still hearing his yelling which was now turning into threats. Through my tears and through the rain, I managed to locate a sheltered alleyway and stumble into it. He used to be so nice, so pleasant to be around.

The red vehicle rolled up to the entrance way of the alley. "You don't know what you're doing, Imogen!" he yelled from a rolled down window. "You're going to regret it later, so why not just take me back now!" What happened to him? Why is he acting like this?

I ignored him and started groping the walls of the alley, blindly trying to guide myself away from him. He's different now.

"You're so stupid, you know that?! You just made the worst decision of your life!" He's terrible now.

"G-go away." I managed to say through shivers. "I-I... I don't want you anymore. Please j-just le-leave me alone."

There was an eerie silence in response to my words. What's he doing? I stopped my slow attempt to go deeper into the brick alley and turned around.

I squinted in the dark of the starless night. He had moved his red car so that it stared down into the alley. He's still watching me.

I heard a small click, and two blindingly bright lights lit up the space between the buildings. My eyes widened with fear. "N-no..." my voice wavered this time, not because of the freezing cold, but because of the terrifying realization of what was going to happen.

The car engine gave a loud roar as it started up, ready to take down it's prey like a lion. That's what woke me up. I spun around on my heel and ran as fast as I could on the icy black ground, which really wasn't much more than a jogging speed.

Go. I urged myself. Run.

The car gave out another low rumble before I heard tires squealing, attempting to grip the ground.

Then, blackness.
