Mallorys POV:
Why did I agree to go out to breakfast? I thought as the bite of pancake I just took began to slowly make it's way up. All of us decided to go to the cafe in Times Square for breakfast. I was sitting in between Harry and Niall. Niall was stuffing his face with pancakes and Harry was sipping on apple juice as his hand rested on my thigh, our fingers intertwined.
"Suchgoodpancakes." Niall mumbled as he stuffed more into his already full mouth. I'm suprised he wasn't choking. He eats food like a damn anaconda.
"Niall, slow your self down. Remember what happened the last time you rushed through a meal? You don't want to be on the toilet for that long again do you?" Louis laughed.
"LOUIS! Gosh, you don't need to tell everyone that, you dick hole." Niall complained through the mouthfull of syrup covered pancakes. Even after the warning, he kept shoving them in. Admittedly, I was slightly impressed.
"Oh shit. What's today?" Chandni asked as her eyes began to pop out of her head.
"Um, Sunday I think. Why?" Zayn asked her, his eyes twinkling. They were so cute. There was no way their relationship could be fake.
"Mallory and I were supposed to go home this morning. Which means my parents are expecting me by later today." Chandni said as her face slowly fell.
"You didn't call them?" I asked her, shock on my face.
"No, I sort of forgot considering everything that's been happening." She replied as she snaked her phone out of her pocket. "I'll be right back." As she stalked off out the Cafe door, they all looked at me, most likely expecting the same act.
"Haha I think my parents are okay with me staying considering my appointments." I informed them as a sad laugh escaped my lips. The shock and sadness that registered on their faces told me that they forgot. Forgot about the sickness. Why was it so easy to forget and brush off? I even forgot about it at some points. None of it seemed real. Harry brought our tightly wound pair of hands to his lips and lightly kissed the back of my hand, his lips soft as ever. Niall was looking at us, a pancake covered smile on his lips. I looked at him and smiled. He was so adorable. If I wasn't going to be gone soon, I felt like we could be really good friends. But some luxuries you just don't get to have.
"So, Mallory, are you still in high school?" I heard Eleanor faintly ask between my never ending thoughts. I guess it was time for small talk.
"Yup. I'm a senior this year." I told her with my brightest smile. She smiled back, as if she was sure enough to. Like my smile told her it was okay to be friendly.
"So how old does that make you?" She asked curiously.
"I'm 17." I informed her.
"Wow, aren't you a young thing." Louis laughed. I never really thought about the ages. I didn't even realise that I was the youngest one here.
"Harry, just so you know, that makes her jail bait." Zayn laughed.
"Ah, I don't mind. She'll be legal soon." Harry said brightly as he kissed my cheek lightly.
"So, I told my parents all that was going on and they told me I'd better stay with Mallory." Chandni informed everyone as she joined us back at the table, as Zayn took her hand in his, clearly pleased. Thank god she was going to stay. I don't think I would be able to handle this without her here, considering I would be around the five most beautiful boys in the world all by myself. I would probably die if she left. Not in the literal sense, of course.
Harrys POV:
Maybe breakfast wasn't the best idea. Mallory looked as if she was going to be sick. She barely even touched her food. All she was doing was pushing the mushy pancakes around with her fork, trying to give off the impression that she was eating.
"Ahhh, I'm stuffed. Thanks for the breakfast." Mallory sighed sweetly as she leaned up and kissed my cheek. I looked her in the eyes, holding her gaze for as long as I could. Letting her know that I knew she didn't eat. In a way, you could say that I was mentally scolding her. She turned her head away as fast as she could, cutting of my stare.
"Alrighty, should we head off?" Liam questioned as he paid the bill and took Danielles hand and stood up from the wooden chair.
"BUT THERES STILL FOOD ON THE TABLE!" Niall hollered as he banged his hands on the table like a three year old.
'"You're right Niall, there is. But sadly, the food is not on YOUR plate." I smirked as I stood up and took Mallory by the waist, slowly bringing her to her feet. She smiled up at me, clearly appreciative of the help. That couldn't have been a better feeling. Getting awarded a smile from her was like a breath of fresh air, you had to appreciate everyone of them and not take one for granted. Simply because you never knew when the air would stop and when the smiles would fade.
"Well, it's almost 11:30, so leaving now would be the best choice, considering we shouldn't be late for the first appointment." Liam said in a fatherly voice, eyeing Mallory closely. I guessed he noticed her lack of eating. At least I wasn't seeing things.
"Can we at least take the pancakes with us. You guys know how hospitals make me hungry." Niall questioned eagerly.
"Niall, everything makes you hungry. Hell, standing in a bathroom for too long can make you hungry." Danielle laughed as Liam wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
"Well, if we're planning on being in a bathroom, then definitly bring the pancakes." Niall scoffed as he got up from the table and flagged down the waitor. "Yeah, we will be taking these to go."
"Niall, you seize to amaze me." Mallory smiled as she gave him a peck on the cheek and was rewarded with a red cheeked Niall who couldn't stop smiling. I stared at her, smirking. She seemed to notice and joined me at my side with a big smile.
"Let's do this poo." She said, as she took me by the hand and all of us walked to the cars, not even close to knowing what to expect.
