New Beginnings // Jensen Ackles x reader

Hiatus

Y/n's POV

The cast and crew wrapped up and we all are currently on hiatus. We got released for hiatus about 4 days ago and we're still in Vancouver but Jensen wanted to make sure he had everything that he needs packed, I as well. I'm now sitting on my closet floor in my apartment packing for Texas. Packing all the shorts I own as well as a few pairs of jeans just in case, I finish up. We leave for Texas tomorrow so Jensen said he'd come pick me up, I'd stay the night then Clif would drop Jensen and I, as well as Jared off at the airport.

I zipped up my suitcase and rolled it out to the living area. I texted Jensen letting him know I was ready. Before he arrived I did a once over, making sure there were no dirty dishes or anything of that sort. There was a knock on the door and I jogged over, flinging it open. "Hey sweetheart." Jensen said, pecking my lips. "Hey handsome." He smiled, closing the door behind him. "You ready for the flight?" He asked, rubbing my shoulders. "Yeah the flight isn't what I'm nervous about." I bit my lip.

"Baby, I told you. The kids will love you and Danneel won't do anything to harm you." He reassured me. I nodded, "then let's get to Texas!" He smiled, helping me with my bags. I locked up my apartment and we headed to the parking garage. Jensen threw my stuff in the back of clif's truck while I got in. "Hey Clif, Hey Jar." I buckled up. "Hey shorty." Jared turned around in the front seat. "You ready to go to Texas?" He asked. I nodded, "I'm excited but nervous to meet everyone." He laughed, "Jensen's kids will love you, my kids will love you, and Gen will especially love you."

Jensen climbed in next to me and grabbed my hand. Squeezing it slightly in reassurance, he kissed my head. Clif drove the three of us to the airport, "you kids be safe. I'll be here to pick you up when you get back." We thanked him and headed to check in. Getting everything settled, we waited for our flight. Roughly 20 minutes later they called our flight. Walking onto the plane, I touched the side for good luck. We settled into our seats. I was sat between the boys. Taking a deep breath in, Jensen grabbed my hand again.

* after the flight *

I was woken up by someone shaking me slightly. "Babygirl, wake up." Jensen said in a hush voice. I stirred awake. "Hm." He laughed lightly, "We're in Texas." I stretched from the refreshing nap but then quickly realized we were gonna have to meet danneel. Jensen recognized the worry on my face. "Baby it'll be okay." He smiled. I sighed, "I'm sorry my worrying has to be annoying." I frowned. "It's not sweetheart. It's okay to be nervous. Hell im just as nervous." I looked up at him, "We're in this together."

He smiled, "damn straight." He kissed me and we headed to his house. We pulled up to a really nice house. "mi casa es su casa." He smiled unlocking the door. We walked in, "Jense this is gorgeous!" I admired the decorating. "Gen helped me pick out some stuff after I lost the house in the divorce." He shrugged sadly. "Well this seems like the perfect little house." I smiled. "Let me give you a tour." He smiled back. I sat my things down and followed him. "This is the kitchen on the left and the living room on the right."

I followed him up the stairs, "this is the twins' room, that's JJ's and across from JJ's is the bathroom then finally this is my room." I admired the children's rooms. He took my back downstairs and out to the backyard. "This is the backyard with the deck and pool." He smiled, stuffing his hands in his pockets. He checked his watch, "shit we have to go pick up the kids in an hour." I gulped slightly but nodded. "Could I take a shower? I feel gross from traveling." I asked. "Of course babe. I'll show you how to work it and then I'll get everything settled." I smiled and nodded.

He showed me how to work the shower. Unpacking my shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for now, I got in the shower. I wrapped the towel that Jensen gave me around my body and walked to his room where my suitcase was. "Feel better?" He asked, laying on his bed. I nodded and pulled out a pair of high waisted shorts, a peach colored tank top and gray cardigan. (I feel like I've already put an outfit like this in this book but I find outfits on Pinterest haha.) "I'm gonna go make sure the car seats are in right so you can get dressed."

He got up from his bed and walked out, leaving me to get dressed. I quickly threw on my clothes and brushed my hair before looking at the pictures on his dresser. I picked up the one of him with all three kids. I smiled at it. "That ones my favorite." He said from the doorway. I sat it down and turned around. "I can't wait to meet them." He laughed, "no more nervousness?" He asked. I held my fingers up, "like this much." I giggled. He pecked my lips, "it'll be okay." I smiled and we went downstairs and out to his car. Settling in the car, we were off to Danneels.
