Chapter One: Lets have fun

Jake's (P.O.V)

7:15am
Today was the last day of the school semester and I couldn't believe it. My senior year was finally over. I woke up with a thrill of excitement and also slight discomfort, to think this is the final day I'll be able to spend with my friends in a class environment ever again. What will I do at lunchtime when I'm in college? Yes I'm sure I will have made new friends by then but it'll never be the same. My group of friends really only formed within the last two years and everyday since, every new day after another had always been the best day of my life. I can't think of a time when I've ever felt displaced or lost with my friends. We are all so close and if anything were to ever happen to us I don't know what I'd do. All I hope is we can stay in contact even after our summer vaccination.

*Ding ding*
My alarm went off, I'm so used to getting up at 7:20 everyday I think it's just that excitement of last day has me arising before my alarm. I got out of my bed and began to undress myself. I opened my blinds in my room to allow the light enter because without the brightness my room is very dull. I pulled the blinds up and out the window in the house across was my friend Eli, who is also my ex boyfriend. Ever since we were the age of four our rooms have always faced one another and when we were younger we'd spend hours just talking out the window to one another at all hours of the night. I'd say Mrs Atkinson across the road must know all of our big secrets by now.

Eli has been my best friend since I was elementary school, we have always been together and I don't think there's anyone else I like to spend time with other than him. His black curly hair along with his amazing looks and personality is just the icing on top of the cake, one of the main reasons I figured I was bisexual. I've always been quite on the chubby side and never believe I would ever have a girlfriend when I was younger so when one thing led to another with Eli and I, I was quite honestly astonished to think someone had kissed me and actually liked me. We were quite intoxicated the first time we kissed but from then on we began to experiment more and both of us came to the realisation of our sexualities. Although I found I was always more attracted to him and I felt as if he saw me as his sexual outlet when in fact he told me he felt the exact same way towards me as I felt to him. Instead he felt that for the sake of our friendship we end things on a good note and continued to stay friends. I had to sacrifice my feelings in order to prevent that awkwardness and losing one of the most important people in my life to some dumb feelings we had for one another. We broke up about two months ago now and things are back to the way they were before and honestly I'm even more happier. But part of me will forever have feelings for the boy next door.

"So excited for the last ever day of high school?" he asked whilst pulling up his bedroom window. "On one hand I've never felt happier in my life but on the other I will just miss everything about being with out the group day in and out" I replied. "Don't worry, I don't think I ever plan on not having you in my life" he laughed. It's the little things like that which make him one of my favourite people. We both talked a bit more and then got dressed and headed downstairs to get ready and arranged to walk to school together. I grabbed my school bag and jumped down the stairs in glee ready for the day and all the joy yet sadness to come out of it. My Mom had breakfast prepared for me, my favourite, pancakes and bacon. They were a Friday tradition in my family ever since the first day of middle school. I devoured my breakfast, thanked my Mom and headed out the door ready to meet Eli and walk to school one last time together. When I opened my door Eli and my other childhood best friend, Eve, was just outside ready to knock...perfect timing or coincidental? The three of us have always been a trio and to this day Eve is one of the only people to know about Eli and I. The two of them are the only two people I trust with my entire life and I know would never backstab me. We began to walk to school and have our usual chats about video games and latest gossip in our school. It's things like this that make this summer make me wanna have the most fun I've ever had in my life. The walk generally takes the pair of us about twenty minutes but spending time with the two of them just makes time go so fast. We were almost half the way there when a car pulled up beside us, it was our friends Katie and Rick. Katie and Rick are your typical high school dynamic couple, the beautiful yet smart cheerleader and the not so smart good looking quarterback. "Hope in cuties, we will give you a ride" Rick mocked. "Yeah come on our last ride to school together or would you two prefer we give Eve a ride and give you two some 'alone time' " Katie joked. Our friend group always suspected that there was something between Eli and I but we never were exclusive, in order for us to still figure things out. So the ironic jokes of 'cuties' and 'alone time' always made Eli and I chuckle knowing what really went down between us. So Eli, Eve and I all decided to hop into the back of Ricks car and together the five of us drove to the school together. Rick was a bit of a reckless drive, he has only ever crashed his car twice...

Lunchtime
It was 1:00pm and also the last ever lunch break. The day so far has been so fun and emotional with every class being us seniors basically being left to our own devices as the teachers we almost to scared to show up to class. In order to avoid end of year senior pranks. My group and I had already struck many teachers and they won't even know it until the go to the cars and realise that it is completely wrapped in cling film but when they open their doors, they will be glued shut. My friends and I gathered around the table, we were all together...Myself, Eli, Eve, Katie, Rick, Denise and Ben (who by the way has always had a massive crush on Denise). "I can't believe it's the last day of the year you guys" Denise sighed. "Well I won't be sad to say goodbye to this terrible cafeteria food" Rick added. "I don't know it can't be any better then the shit your mom cooks" Ben laughed. "It has been such a good day I never want it to end" Eve exclaimed. "Well what if we can have this much fun every day for a couple of days, adult free and along with gigantic lake house to party in" Denise suggested. We all went silent and looked at one another and then back to Denise. "What are you suggesting Denise?" Katie asked. "Well my aunt and uncle are out of town and said I could invite some friends down to their lakeside house in SweetLake Valley only a few miles out west" she replied. "Omg that sounds amazing, I can not wait!! I have to start packing like right now. Come on Rick we gotta go shopping first at the mall" Katie demanded. "And miss the last ever class of double physics...I'm in let's go" Rick replies. "I can try on that sexy bikini I was talking about this morning, see you at the party later guys" Katie said whilst pulling Rick up and walking away. The two of them left just leaving Eli, Eve, Denise, Ben and I to talk more about this road trip to SweetLake. "Come on guys we are going to have the entire lake house for a whole weekend. Let's have fun!!" Denise smiled. "Isn't SweetLake not that lake were that group of teens were slaughter almost thirty years ago?" Eli asked. "Oh yeah it is I did my history assignment on it last semester for the thirty year anniversary. They say the killer still lurks the forest surrounding the lake" Eve added. "Well a weekend vaccination filled with booze, weed, food, skinny dipping, late nights and an alleged ghost murderer. What more could someone ask for" Ben laughed. We all laughed it off but something about a deranged killer that killed and dismembered a group of teens staying in the same location as my friend group is about to stay didn't set with me very well. But then again I am a big horror fanatic so if anything were even remotely to happen which it hundred percent will not, my full stereotypical horror mind cap will be put on ready to save the day from danger.
