"You're Me?" I asked unconvinced. Water dripped off me as a beam of sunlight shined upon me, that was mostly the main indicator of her not being normal.
"Yep" she nodded as if it didn't phase her.
"what do you mean 'I'm you'?" She bit her nail tearing of a longer hangnail, yet another tick of mine being preformed infront of my very eyes.
"Have you heard of the Multiverse?" The haunting thing was that she didn't apper to be the least bit joking.
"In movies and TV shows" I felt to tired to be anymore sarcastic so I humored her with my time.
"Well, its real basically in a nutshell there are an infinite number of multiverses and parallel universes, everytime you make a descion, this or that the allterintive is chosen in a paralel univeres- branching of into other parallel universes, so everyday millions are created by the tiniest of desions you make, in addition to multiveres, which are versions of your reality only twisted in some odd way." She exlaimed it as if I were a child who spoke another languge, which if anyone wasn't speaking english here it was... whoever she really was.
"In english please?" She sighed annoyed.
"lets go inside and get something to eat, I'll pay." She held up a twenty as if proving it were real. When she said it I realized how hungry I really was, so I bit my lip and followed her across the street, curiosuly into my favorite dinner in the Tristate area.
"So you're telling me, that you are me in another universe?" She took a long slurp from her staw engulfing a large swallow of her Tripple Chocalate shake with cocconut shavings and an extra dollop of whipped cream from Billard- the owner who she knew just how to talk to. Coincidentily it was also my favorite shake and she seemed to know Billard just as well as I did.
"Parallel universe, not multiverse theres a differnce."
"And what's that?"
Parallel universes are made from ones decisions while multiverses are set differently, and they are drastically different like in. Multiverses one might have gills". This still hadn't made sense, so I just slurped my shake hoping she would by me another one."Still don't believe me?"
"It sounds a hell like a scam" She nodded in agreement.
"It does, doesn't it?" She took a long stare at me trying to figure out how I was feeling. "I'll tell you what, I want to make a deal with you. I want to know what your life is like and in turn I'll pay you." My ears perked up, I needed money.
"$500 a night if you let me stay with you, I'll provide my own food if you need, and $250 if you let me meet you with you a few times a week and show me around."
"Why the hell do you give a shit?"
"Because I'm rich and curious darling." She said it in a way that sounded like Freddie Mercury- my favorite artist of all time, I couldn't resist a chuckle.
"I don't imagine myself being rich in any parallel universe!"
"In my parallel universe, I didn't sit on my ass and let life slip by me, I took that leap and now I got to where I want to go, I acomplished the one dream I've had all my life..."
"I opened an art studio" we said in unison.
"Since the day I was four and saw my first art show I knew I wanted to prusue art and open a studio." I remebered that day too, I could picture it vividly in my head.
"So I worked my ass off, I took numerous drawing classes, painting classes, sculpting classes you name it." I did too, merciesly until I was ten or so and I let my passion fade.
"People told me to do some other shit but I was dedicated." She went on. "I started an Etsy account and sold a lot of my work, I put all my time and effort into art until the day came where I got accepted to Juliard." I used to dream about Juliard but I eventually took the first community college that acepted me.
"I found my group, my clique and we started a business, it was rather famous and eventually we opened that studio. Now at the same time, in my universe scientists discovered parallel universe travel, and well recently my buisness is doing great so I decided to take a brake and explore my ulterite lives."
"Here's my life in a nutshell; its shit"
"The I'll help you improve it"
"and how would you do that?"
"I'll be like your coach, over the next few weeks I'll help you get off your ass."
"Mmmhmm" Not even a wizard could make my life better, I sure was doubtful that she could. She extended her hand and gave me a long glance, her eyes seemed as if they themselves were talking to me. Hesitantly I took her hand in mine and shook it.
"We got ourselves a deal"
