Why did Arlo want to meet with her, she wondered.

When school ended, Y/n walked over to ###### st. She didn't have to wait long, Arlo was standing there waiting for her already. In his hand, he carried her file. 

"Hey." Arlo said, his voice calm,

"Hiwhatdoyouwant" Y/n said quickly looking down,

Y/n's thoughts were speeding, what if he thought she was a monster, what if he told someone what had happened. Arlo walked over to Y/n, he walked slow, he didn't want to alarm Y/n. As Arlo got closer, he could sense that Y/n was on edge. Y/n looked down when he was only about half a foot away. Tears threataned to fall, stinging at her eyes, her breath hitched,

'This couldn't happen, not again.' Y/n thought to herself. 

Y/n had slipped up once at her old school, she couldn't afford to slip up again

"Y/n, you have to tell me what happened, what's your ability?" Arlo asked,

Arlo knew that he couldn't let his soft spot for Y/n get in the way of this. He looked at her in a threatning way, almost a glare.

Y/n saw the way Arlo looked at her, it was a look she never wanted to see again. Y/n knew that he was looking at her as the king of Wellston. She struggled to blink back tears as she raised her voice sharply,

"I don't have to tell you anything." She said looking at what was in his hand.

Y/n realized that he had her file. That was it, her tears started to flow freely, she tried to speak, but her voice broke everytime.

"A-Arlo... H-how could y-you!" Y/n said, choking on her tears,

"I know y-you have my... my file." Y/n said, her jaw trembling,

"Y/n... I had to. It's my duty as king to make sure that I keep everyone safe." Arlo said,

"HOW ABOUT ME! AM I NOT SAFE? IS THAT WHAT YOU MEAN!?" Y/n said, having a full meltdown,

Y/n's eyes started to glow, Arlo saw this and instinctively activated his ability too, Y/n's eyes grew brighter and brighter, until her file, which Arlo was holding, bursted into flames. 

"ARE YOU AFRAID OF ME? YOU SHOULD BE! I'M A MONSTER! LOOK AT ME!" Y/n shouted, in a sobbing mess,

Before Arlo could answer, Y/n bolted, she ran as fast as her legs could carry her, she only got a few yards away, before she was enclosed in a golden barrier, Y/n spun around to look at the blonde. 

"What? Are you going to fight me?" Y/n said in a teary and exahusted voice,

"If that's what its going to take, yeah I'll fight you." Arlo said, 

This caught Y/n by surprise, she didn't think that he'd actually fight her. She could take him down easily, she didn't want to though. Without thinking it through, she ran at an alarming speed, towards the end of the golden barrier. 

Y/n's screamed in pain realizing that her ability had deactivated, she clutched her body in pain, feeling the recoil damage Arlo's barrier had inflicted on her. She tried to stand up as she saw Arlo moving towards her, blood started to seep out of her mouth. 

"Are you done?" Arlo asked, seeing her in her frail state,

He felt a twinge of gulit noticing how much recoil damage she had taken because of him, truth be told, he thought her ability would've activated. His intention wasn't for her to get hurt like this. 

Y/n tried over and over to activate her ability with no avail. 

'Why isn't it working?' Y/n thought, 

'I'm in danger aren't I?' 

Y/n looked into Arlo's eyes, she never noticed they were blue,

Y/n started to speak, "I hate you go to he-"

Y/n's words were cut off by Arlo's arm's around her, he had lifted her into his arms and started walking, 

"What the hell do you think your doing?" Y/n asked, still very much in pain,

"You need to be healed." Arlo said,

"When we get to where I'm taking you, you are going to tell me all about your ability" Arlo said, gazing at her,

When they got where he was taking her, she was going to strangle Arlo. She was beyond mad.
