beep, beep!

victoria reaches over and stops the alarm on the phone. it's 5:35 a.m.

the past three days, victoria has been getting herself together for her first day of college. she's so nervous.

she's been working nonstop to prepare. mentally and emotionally, of course. the books, classes, the schedule... those were already taken care of.

but, today is finally the big day.

after showering and getting dressed, victoria heads down the apartment stairs and nearly bumps into tj at the bottom.

"hey." he says, smiling.

"hey yourself." she replies. she looks down, and notices the backpack he has with him.

"first day jitters?" she asks.

"a little. but only two years to go." he responds, pausing momentarily, "man, it feels so good to say that."

"i bet." victoria responds, smiling.

after a moment, tj asks, "do you wanna ride?"

victoria's grin spreads even wider, super grateful that she'll have some company to ease her nerves.

arriving on campus, tj and victoria depart after a quick kiss, and promise to meet up at his car after their classes to go back home.

as victoria sits down in her first class, a stunning, curly haired student who could put any covergirl model to shame, sits down next to her.

"hey, i'm tasha." she greets.

"nice to meet you. i'm victoria." she offers her hand, to which tasha shakes.

"likewise." tasha replies, smiling.

the day flies by, and after school, victoria and tj meet up at his car like they promised, and head back home to their apartment.

"so..." tj begins, "how was your day?"

victoria smiles, looking at him. "actually really good. how was yours?"

"good. and i'm glad your first day went well." he replies, before pausing, clearly thinking something over.

victoria notices, and asks, "what're you thinking about?"

while looking at the road, he responds, "you."

her eyebrows raise, as the car decelerates as they approach a red light.

before she can say anything, tj leans over, planting a soft kiss on her lips, which she returns.
