Chapter 2: I'm Only Human

Yusei woke up in the calm morning. The sun shined on his tan skin and shined off his cobalt eyes. Rasca, the cat, was sleeping on his bed and jumped off when Yusei got up. He walked to the closet and put on a black shirt with red embroidery and dark blue pants. Just as he got to brushing his hair, he heard his name called.

"Yusei! Yusei! YUSEI!"

The raven ran downstairs and into the kitchen. He saw Rex, Sayer, Edo, and Blister waiting. The three didn't look too happy while Blister looked like he had waited patiently.

"Now that you are here, make us breakfast." ordered Rex. Yusei sighed to himself and began to make breakfast. When he served Sayer his breakfast, the male spit it out and threw it on the ground.

"Make it better!" he ordered.

"No. You get what you get and you don't pitch a fit." remarked Yusei.

Sayer growled and grabbed a nearby whip. He hit his step brother in the face with it and watched him fall. Yusei covered his cheek in pain as Sayer came over and stood over him. Rex and Edo simply watched in sadistic amusement while Blister got up to help him. The brunette pushed the redhead off the raven and helped him up, only to get hit in the back with the whip.

"Blister!" yelled Yusei, catching his injured step brother in his arms. Sayer smirked and hit Yusei in the neck with the whip. The raven hissed in pain while Edo pushed Blister off of him and stomped on the brunette, leaving Yusei wide open. Sayer grabbed him and dragged him to the basement. He tied up the raven and began whipping him. Yusei screamed in agony and pain every time the whip hit him.

"This will teach your disobedient ass! Learn your place, trash!" yelled Sayer, whipping the raven some more. It was only when Rex came in that he stopped.

"Sayer, I'm sure Yusei will learn his lesson if he stays here for a few... Days." he said.

The redhead smirked and reached for the key. Yusei took notice of this and tried to break free.

"Oh dear. It looks like he can't get free." mocked Rex. "Poor boy won't be able to consume all the delicious food we'll have."

Sayer closed the door and locked the lock tightly so that Yusei couldn't get out. The raven was in there for six days, starving. No food filled his stomach. No water quenched his thirst. On the sixth day, Sayer came in there. He had a grin on his face and the whip in his folded arms.

"Are you going to behave now?" he asked. Yusei let out a strained yes before Sayer released him. When Yusei got upstairs, he saw Blister laying on his bed with wounds on him.

"If you disobey me or my sons again, you will end up like him." warned Rex, whispering into Yusei's ear. A shiver went down his spine at that statement.

The next day, Yusei had accidentally spilled milk on Edo. The result? He was beaten up by Sayer and Edo. Blister still laid in his bed, those wounds still on him. Every time Yusei did something wrong or made a mistake, he was beaten or whipped or starved or all three.

"Please stop." he pleaded with tears in his eyes as he was whipped for his newest accident. "I'm only human."

This made Edo laugh.

"You're not human; you're our servant." he said. "And nothing more than that."
