The Adjacent House

"Who did we invite?" Michael asks.

"Heaps man, like Joel and Benji, Sheeran, Kendall and thousands of well known aussies!" Calum answers.

"Why the fu.ck would you invite Kendall, you di.ckhead!" Luke yells.

"Because she's hot? Duh!" Calum yells back.

"You know she does't leave me alone, Calum! Why would you do this to me?" Luke fights.

Kendall Jenner is one of the most annoying, attention seeking sl.uts in the universe, and Calum had to invite her.

Kendall has had a crush on Luke since the VMA's. She come uo to him backstage and just started flirting with him like he wanted her too.

Reality check... no one wants you, Kendall Jenner.

"Just... I don't know? Avoid her or something!" Calum says, not really caring at all.

"Thanks Cal. I'm just going to lock myself in my room then" Luke sighs, walking away.

"He's on his period" Michael laughs.

"Moody son of a bi/tch" Calum shakes his head,

"That's fair enough though. Luke knows what Kendall's like! She sticks to him like glue and he hates it. He hates her!" Ashton defends.

"Who wouldn't want Kendall Jenner stuck to them, come on Ash!" Calum retorts.

"Whatever man. Just get ready, people will be here soon" Ashton gives up.

Before the boys know it, their house is full with celebrities and cool people.

The whole house vibrates with good vibe music, chatter and sweaty bodies.

All four boys have drinks in their hands but aren't quite drunk yet; besides Michael.

Michael is in the lounge going crazy with his alcohol influenced dance moves.

Calum is mixing all sorts of drinks in the kitchen, serving them all around the place.

Ashton is throwing deck chairs into the pool for fun, but that's no surprise.

Luke is on the couch, trying to flick Kendall Jenner off his shoulder.

"Luke, you have the best hair! But I've probably told you that before" Kendall says, play slapping his shoulder.

*LUKE"S POV*

I wish I could slap Kendall in the face like she slaps my shoulder all the time.

Does she think she's cute or something?

"Yeah, like one hundred times, Kendall" I say, moving away from her.

"Lukey, can you please get me a drink?" She says, stroking my arm, fluttering her eyelashes.

"You've got legs?" I say, getting up and walking away.

I can't believe her. She thinks we have a 'thing' just because we talked ages ago.

To be honest, she annoys the fu.ck outta me. It's like an annoying kid at school who thinks they're popular and have heaps of friends.

The only reason she's famous is because her sister made a sex tape.

I bump into Calum as I enter the kitchen;

"Luke, Kendall is looking for you. She seems pi.ssed" Calum gives me the heads up.

Great.

I shake my head and run upstairs.

I can't believe I've locked myself in my bedroom at my own party.

I just can't cop Kendall.

I hate her.

Sitting on my phone is starting to get boring, so I walk outside onto my balcony.

I almsot trip over the stupid telescope box on the ground.

Why do I have it? I don't want it.

I lean over the balcony ledge, scrolling through twitter.

I follow a few fans and answer some tweets until my phone dies.

I can't be bothered walking back inside and charging it. It's too nice outside in this amazing Queensland weather.

As I stare into the beautiful broadwater, my mind twigs a dumb idea.

Why don't I set the telescope up?

Eh, well it's something to do I guess.

I rip the box open and begin trying to read the instructions.

An hour later, the sun is gone completely and I have a half decent telescope.

All I can say is, it was harder than I expected.

What do you even use telescopes for? Like how many stars can you look at? They all look the same after a while.

I stop focusing on the stars and decide to be a sticky beak, I scan through the houses across the river, seeing who's got what and who's out.

As I pan through the beautiful houses, my telescope lands on a balcony directly across from mine.

The adjacent house.

I almost fall off the balcony as I see whats standing on the balcony.

I see this beautiful, tall, long blonde haired girl leaning on the railing just looking out.

She looks about my age but far out, I don't think I've ever seen someone so beautiful in my life.

As cliche as it sounds, the slight breeze blows her loosely curled, light blonde hair around like a model in a photo shoot, as well as the light from the bedroom behind her illuminating her silhouette.

I am seriously stunned.

I pull away from the telescope to see her with my own eyes.

Yep, she's real. She's definitely there too.

I would kill to go talk to her but you know, theres kind of water seperating us...

I guess I could use the jetski?

Nah. She'd think I'm a freak or something.

Wow, I still can't believe my eyes.

What the fuc/k.

I seriously don't know what to say,.. or do...

I look in the telescope one more time just for reassurance.

Yep, she's still there, oblivious to me pervving on her.

Oh how I wish I could talk to her someday.

She moves and I duck behind the rail, thinking she saw me.

Nope, she didn't, but it looks like she's being called or even yelled at by someone.

So... she goes inside and shuts the curtains.

Damn.

Well I know what's going to be on my mind for a very long time.
