After grabbing the laundry I walked out my phone rang and Emma was calling.
"Ready for the date?" She asked her voice filled with excitement.
"No not yet. I'm still at the dry cleaners. I'll just go home and prepare. I don't have that much to wear except the suit I wore during my interview."
"How does it feel going on your first date." She asked.
"Very nervous." I gulped. "I've never even had someone to ask me out yet."
"Don't be nervous, I'll be right there for you. But you know, the table next to you. It is the date after all."
I rolled my eyes smiling. "Right, I gotta go now. I'll meet you at the restaurant." I hang up and called Jordan.
"Jordan."
"Yeah what's up." He sniffed.
"Um, are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm alright. Why'd you ask." He sniffed again.
"Were you crying?" I got worried. "What happened?"
"Nothing. I'm leaving now. I'll pick you up in a matter of minutes. Bye."
"Jordan wait-" He hang up on me.
A few minutes later his car came and I opened the door.
"Hey." He said smiling but his eyes looked like he'd been crying for awhile now.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Well if you mean spending time on looking good early this morning just to get dumped then I'm fine."
"Jordan." I pat his back.
He immediately leaned on me crying hard.
"It was terrible Miles." He said.
"I know. Let it all out."
