Y/n's POV

It was raining... in the car, it was pure silence... no one dared to speak...

~time skip~

Me, my daughter, and my brother's family(hoseok,Rose and his son) arrived in his house. My daughter and her cousin,Hyo Bin, runs upstairs to see Hae Jin's new room while me, rose and hoseok sat down in the couch...

"Are you sure you'll file a divorce?"Rose Unnie asked

"Yes..." I answered looking down...

"Why don't you decide with Hae Jin? Or yet wait for him-"I cut hoseok off.

"Hoseok oppa, you know I'm not the type of person that easily forgives someone. Especially when the person's sin was if he broke his promise." I said strictly...

"Y/n..."

"You're my brother and I didn't forgive you for 8 years. And jimin's my husband. I can do the same thing. I can even make it until I die."I said trying not to cry...

"But what about your daughter?"

"I'll try my best not to fill her heart with hate..." I said...

"Y/n..."

"Oppa look... I'm tired...can we just talk some other day?"I said sounding a bit annoyed... hoseok just sighs as Rose comforts him...

I walk to Hae Jin's new room. I opened the door and saw Hae Jin and her cousin Hyo Bin playing uno...

"Hyo Bin, can you leave us for a second?" I asked

"Sure Aunt Y/n." He said as he walked out. I walk at the edge of the bed of my daughter... she put the cards down and looked at me...

"Mom...are you really gonna file up a divorce with dad?"My 17 year old daughter asked with sorrow in her eyes. I looked at her feeling so sorry...

"He broke his promise and he cheated...I just can't take it..."I said

"Don't you think of giving him a second chance?" She asked...

"Just like what uncle hoseok and dad said. Everyone deserves a second chance!" She continues.

"I know-"

"Then why mom?"

"You won't understand Hae Jin..."

"Mom I'm 17 years old! I can understand! Why doesn't he deserve any chances?!"

"He does but it won't be the same! It's the scar that he left! You would never understand!"

"He can heal it! That's what you said every time! All scars heal!"

"Not all.." I paused

"It does!"Hae Jin yells

"yes it heals... but it's a mark that can never disappear..." I said as I point to her chest referring to her heart...

Silence took over for a few seconds...till she spoke once more...

"Mom... tell me... what was the promise?" She asked making me look at her deeply...

"...one day...you'll know the promise... When you're ready... when you're older...for now... let's cool off..."I said as I walk out... I closed the door and saw Hyo Bin standing in front of me...

"Take care of her Hyo Bin... especially when I'm gone..."

"Yes auntie..."

"Promise?"

"I-I promise auntie..."he said. I walk away to my new room. I did my night routine and then try to sleep. As I try to sleep, tears from my eyes escapes. Thinking of what happened... I jut don't know how to take it... how am I going to raise Hae Jin without showing hate... I don't want her to grow up with hate like me... I don't want her to suffer the consequences in the end... hating a person? It's not worth it...

Unknown's POV

As the train stops, I look out the window and saw a sign...

'Welcome to Seoul'

I walk out the train. I walk to the streets of Seoul as I slowly whispered...

"I'm back..." I smiled...

~4 months later~

Hae Jin's POV

"So let me get this straight. Even if you haven't signed the contract of the divorce thing, all the company, money and etc. Will be named after me?"I said confused as I stare at my mother. My mother nods as she took a sip onto her hot chocolate.

"This... is too much to take, mom... I can't do all of that without you! Being the principal and owner of a school while being an owner of 3 different types of companies!" I complain as I took a sip onto my espresso.

"Don't worry. I'll be teaching you the ropes and stuff... and also.. your uncle hoseok is there to be with you." She said

"Wait... why are we talking about this again?"I asked. My mother frowns.

"So you can be prepared. Who knows? Maybe sooner or later, I'll be gone?" She said as she shrugs.

"Are you serious mom? When we talk about this it makes me feel like you're saying goodbye and leaving me... it irritates me..."I complained once more

"Who said I'm leaving you? Hae Jin look... our family doesn't run from things... we solve them... we face them..."

"Then face dad..." I said looking at her straight in the eye... she looks down as she took a deep breath before looking back at me...

"Hae Jin..."

"It's just..." I paused... she looks at me waiting for me to continue...

"My classmates knows about this divorce thing... and... it's just hard...they kept spreading things about my father... I hate it!"I said starting to tear up...

"What did I tell you about those rumours and stuff?"

"Roast them... but mom it's too much!"

"Hae Jin we've talked about this..."

"Tell me mom... what the hell was the god damn promise?! Why can't you just forgive him?!"

"I've told you so many times, Hae Jin. You'll get to know it when you're ready." She said as calm as she tried to be

"But I am ready! Why can't you understand that?! You treat me like a kid! Mom I'm 17 years old already! I can understand the understandable things!" I yelled at her as I stood up and walk out the caffe shop of Aunt Yu Hae, Uncle Yoongi's wife.

"Hae Jin!" I heard my mom yell.

I ran out. But as I was about to cross the road, a loud horn was heard. I was about to get hit by a car. When I felt a hand pulling me away. I stumbled backwards as I heard a loud thud... not from me... but from a familiar woman whom I really know... my mother...

Tears from my eyes start to flow as I saw my mother bleed... I ran to her body, as people start to surround us... the car that hit my mom ran away. A blurry figure of numbers picture in my head. Not fully able to remember what the numbers were due to the fact that I had tears on my eyes when I looked at it's plate number... at first I thought it was SWE 064 or maybe STF O94... but after a short moment everything became clear to me... SVF 093... whoever the driver is... I'll make him pay...

"What the hell are you doing?! Call an ambulance, you idiot!" I yelled at one man... he immediately took his phone and called an ambulance.

"Mom please stay with me!"

She looked at me as she smiled weakly and softly said...

"I'm sorry..."
