Kyouhei's POV
"...hei...kyouhei...dad Kyouhei's awake." I heard my brother call out.
I opened my eyes to the view of a hospital ceiling and bright daylight bulbs over my head.
"Oh thank goodness you're alright." My mother cried out, tears falling from her eyes.
Was i only dreaming?
"How are you feeling son?" My dad asked.
"I feel fine. What happened?"
"Someone found you passed out on the side of the road and brought you here." Youhei answered.
"Are you sure your alright Kyo?" Mom asked.
"I feel..."
A tear fell from my eyes as i recalled an image of her face. I said i wouldn't abandon her, that we would experience the rain together, but i guess...we failed to reach others hand.
"Kyo, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Mom asked.
I couldn't answer her, because i didn't know it myself.
What was i dreaming about again?
"Kyouhei, right now you are only dreaming...and dreams don't last forever once you wake up they'll fade away and in time they are forgotten."
I heard the crackle of thunder as i recalled those words.
Right...i was dreaming about her.
I heard the sound of rain drops angrily falling on the tin roof, i got off the bed and looked out the window, it was raining.
"She wanted to see this."
"Who did?" Youhei asked.
I said that i would show her, that i would let her feel the rain. For some strange reason i wanted to be there for her, even though it was the first time we've ever met i felt like i was talking to someone i was really close too, to someone i held dear in my heart.
Why is that?
Is it because we share the same feeling of lonesomeness?
This feeling i have...
What's it called?
I felt something tighten up in my chest, it was painful, like my heart was being torn in a million little pieces.
"What would be the use of it? There's no one here to call me by my name."
I said that i would be there, that i would be the one to call out her name. But i was never able to do that.
Is it too late for that now?
