Harry woke up the day
after with lack of sleep. His eyes burned and itched, his body felt slow. Ron let out a shriek when he rolled over to see Harry, "well don't you look handsome!" he furrowed his ginger eyebrows and looked at his friend.Harry nodded and replaced his warm blanket with cold air. He already knew that it was going to be awkward and tense downstairs, especially between Ron and Hermione. "Ron get dressed, it's breakfast soon" he began to put his school clothes on to begin a new day.
Harry had Quidditch practice today, it would be a good thing if he had gotten a good rest. "You're not going to win if you haven't been sleeping, Harry! I don't want to hear that you haven't been next practice" Hermione scolded him probably for the fifth time only this morning.
"Yes I-I'm aware. I just have a lot of things to think about" his head almost fell into the bowl of porridge. "Bloody hell" Ron muttered beside Harry when he saw Malfoy coming towards them.
"So how did it go, yesterday Potter? Was that Weasel girl all over you?" he laughed devilishly at Harry who was with his palm against his forehead. Draco clearly didn't get the satisfaction from Harry's non-existent reaction and tried one more time to get something from him. "Got any love letters yesterday, Potter?"
Harry could feel Malfoy's smirk behind his back. "If I did, then I would most definitely not tell you about it." He said without turning around to face the pale proud boy. "Too bad." Malfoy came closer and whispered in Harry's ear from behind. Ron and Hermione watched in shock when Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle walked away from the Gryffindor's table.
Harry husked them when they tried to ask what it all was about, but he didn't have any idea either.
It was a hot and sunny day, sweat drained from Harry when he had to run to the practise because he wanted to take a nap before. "And you're the captain?" Ginny laughed at him when he came panting with his broom in his hand.
"I-I'm sorry" he tried to catch his breath and gather the team. "So, no fooling around, we are going have to win this match against Slytherin, whatever it takes." He looked around and saw them looking at him with all seriousness. Which was a relief, because none of them was actually practising usually.
"Ron take what goal over there" Harry pointed to a goalpost.
The whistle got blown and they all flew up in the sky. The air blew through Harry's hair, making his scar visible.
He looked for the golden snitch somewhere, he had to get faster and sharper for them to win, and he couldn't lose against Slytherin now.
"Harry!" Ginny called out from below him, he hadn't noticed that he was staring at the bleachers, at Cherry, who was looking at his scar. His heart raced, and he wasn't able to move or fly down again. His eyes were taped on her. Like a flash of bolt lightning down at him, his scar began to sting and he was finally able to go down to the ground.
"What happened?" They rushed down to him when he was laying on the grass with his arm covering his eyes. He took deep breaths without looking at any of them before taking, "I don't know, I'm probably just tired..."
Even though he knew it was a lie.
Harry wanted to talk to Dumbledore but knew it would be impossible. He always seemed to be too busy to stop and talk to anyone. He never shows himself outside his room, neither at dinner.
After practising Harry, Ron and Hermione went up to the common room, surprisingly, Hermione regularly wanted to go to the library at this time. But now she didn't. Both Harry and Ron had noticed that because they gave each other a weird look and bombed their friend with questions. ''Did you got kicked out?'' Ron asked quickly meanwhile Hermione signed at the fourth question.
''Why would she get kicked out? She's practically the only person who goes there. I don't think they want to lose their only student.'' Harry winked to Ron who busted out in a laugh. It made Hermione bitter, ''I can't go there because Cherry and Pansy are all over the place!'' she took her only book and left it tightly in her arms.
''She's gotten sensitive'' Ron shrugged and left to talk with Seamus. Harry checked around him to see if anyone was watching him, but there was nearly no one there. He left through the portrait and went down to the library, where he clearly wasn't supposed to be.
Hermione was right, he saw Cherry and Pansy sitting and chatting in a couch. But Harry needed to know what Cherry had done to him earlier. He approached them, and Pansy gave him a disgusted face meanwhile Cherry looked amused. ''I need to talk to you'' he looked down to the ginger, she stood up and followed Harry behind shelves of thousands of books. Her fingers went along the book's necks when they stood there in the silence, Harry appeared to have lost his words. ''So what did you want to say?'' she read through a book in her hands and didn't actually seem to care.
''What did you do earlier? how did you do it?'' he asked, but it came out too desperately. She laid the book back where it had stood and looked closely to the boy. ''I didn't do anything to you. Did you see my wand behind held towards you?'' she lifted her brow and waited for Harry to reply. She was right, she wasn't holding a wand when it all happened.
''Okay. That was all I wanted to know.'' He turned around and saw Crabbe and Goyle right behind him, he went through them and walked out of the library quickly as possible because he knew that Malfoy was near somewhere.
