Concealed Secrets (Shadow x Reader)

Heya,my wonderful people! I just wanna thank you for the 1k reads. This makes me happy yet surprised that y'all are enjoying this. I was only 11 when I started to write this. So thank you!

•~Shadow P.O.V•~

"Shadow,are you sure this is a good idea? You know what happened last time!" Sonic yelled while focusing on the road.

"Yes, I'm sure. Lady (Y/n) needs us."

Oh great..... Why do I keep calling her that? Maybe because it's polite?

"Not this again..." Sonic groaned.

I had invited Silver to help us out,but he's late. As usual.

"Hey,guys! I heard something happened with lady (y/n)?" Someone yelled from behind.

"Ugh. Silver not you too!" Sonic groaned. "One idiot is enough."

"What the hell did you just call me,Iblis Trigger?!" Silver yelled.

Oh dear...... Here we go again.

"I called you an idiot,faker jr!" Sonic yelled back.

"Faker jr?! Are you kidding me?!" He groaned.

"More like Big the Cat number 2," I snickered.

"That's not funny!" Silver pouted. 

Sonic burst out laughing and didn't watch the road so he and his horse crashed into a tree. What a clown.

"Sonic! You clown!" I yelled through giggles.

Sonic ignored me on the rest of the trip. Worth it.

After an hour,we arrived at Mephiles' - or (Y/n)'s - palace. I shuddered.

"This place looks even more spooky than before..." Sonic whimpered.

Jeez,what a big baby.....

"Mephiles probably did some horrendous redecorating!" Silver giggled.

"He probably did," I agreed. "Now, let's just go inside. This is our one chance to weaken Mephiles while we can!!"

We broke the door down,which got all the guards alarmed. Again,it was worth it. Guards charged at all of us, carrying Spears of darkness and shields.

"These guys are no joke. I say it's time to light it up here," I heard Sonic say before the room was filled with an eye-blinding light. When I could finally open my eyes,I saw nearly all of the guards on the floor unconcious.

I nodded at Sonic as if I was saying "Thank you".

We managed to get further into the palace until I heard something approaching.

"Hide!" I whisper-shouted, hiding behind a wall. Sonic,Silver and everyone else hid somewhere effective. Sonic hid in a nearby Knight's outfit. Seriously, wouldn't he get stuck in that?

The sounds came closer. When I took a look from my hiding place,I saw Mephiles. He looked pretty pissed off.

"Power exceeding my own.... And she doesn't even know. I'm just going to have to go and slaughter her parents then..." Was what I heard.

"Sonic!" I called when he left. "Follow Mephiles and get (Y/n)'s parents out of here. I'll go and find Lady (Y/n) herself.
Silver!!"

Silver saluted.

"Go with sonic." I commanded.

"B...But Shadow..."

"Go!" I yelled.

"Okay then!" He yelled back.

Jeez,people are rude today. I wonder why.

I checked every room. Nothing. The only room I didn't check was the smallest room in the whole palace: The tower.

I made my way into the corridor when I heard what sounded like quiet sobs. I carefully made my way to the source of the sound.

"Lady (Y/n)?!" I called. "Lady (Y/N)! Are you here?"

"Shadow..?"

I ran over there to see her covered in bruises. I instantly felt  my blood boil.
"WHO DID THIS?!"

"M... Mephiles..." Stammered (Y/n) with tears rolling down her cheeks.

Oh, I'll make him pay for hurting her. HE'S GOING TO PAY!! And he will pay with blood.
