Chapter 6: That Crazy Plan

Brooke

Two days passsed. I don't know why, but Shadow and Ian seemed to ignore me and just talk to themselves.

Two more days passed.

A week passed. Are they hiding something from me? I feel so alone, David is getting more and more... crazy and my life more miserable.

I can't stand it. It's been one and a half week now, they still talk to me, but quickly they start talking to each other again, and every time I come close, they just pretend they have stuff to do and leave me. Why?

I feel kinda bad for not talking to Brooke these days. Will she still be friends with me? If only she knows that this is all for her. I hope the plan works, then she'll understand. Although I didn't talk much to her, I can still look at her. Oh, her eyes.

We've been planning for a week and a half now, is she ready? And I still have the other plan that even Shadow doesn't know...

"Ian." Shadow suddenly talks. "Huh? What?" "I think it's time." "No, we still need time, we haven't planned how we're gonna explain-" "No more excuses. You have to face it. Brooke has to leave David, she'll go insane. We haven't looked after her for like two weeks now. C'mon, Ian." "Okay, fine. We'll tell her tomorrow." "No! Today after school! Meet me at the same place." "But I haven't write the script yet-" "No more excuses, Ian. Be a good boy." "But-" "K talk later! And REMEMBER!"

School ends. Now to David. I don't even have time for homework and research and crap.

"Brooke!"

"..." I run out of the school.

"Brooke!" Ian's sound became louder.

"BROOKE! BROOKLYN!" I'm at the bus stop now. C'mon c'mon c'mon where's the bus?

No, they reacehd me, and started talking. "Brooke, we have something to tell you." "Go away." "No, Brooke, let us explain" "It's important" "Go away!" "Brooke" "I said go away! You ignored me for like two weeks, and you expect me to pretend that never happened and David never abused me and I never got those warning letters? HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE?!" I feel angry now. Why? Why do they have to do this? I thought they cared, but they're just fake. All fake. "Brooke we have a plan" "I don't need plans! Just get away from me!"

I saw the bus coming towards us and I wave urgently. I need to ged rid of these two brats.

"Brooke we have a plan for three of us you're gonna get rid of David and we can just go to Paris together and just get a job and live happily ever after! Just three of us!" Shadow quickly says. WHAT?!

"Oh my gosh Shadow! I was gonna say the second part!" Ian says. "I don't care, she already heard me."

I was stunned. Paris? Get rid of David? Whoa. Then I hear an engine noise. The bus just went pass me! Wow, rude driver. "No! You guys made me miss the bus!"

Then Ian starts explaining. "Please, Brooke, we have a plan, don't be mad please." Then he does the cute face and I can't resist...

"Okay, fine. What's this plan? Tell me."

"Okay, so-" Ian was gonna tell me, but then Shadow cut in. "We have this plan that we're gonna pack our things, and fly to Paris. The plane is next week, we already paid with our money that we got. I know French, so I can help do the talking thing. And next week, we'll sneak out at mid twelve, and we'll just take a taxi and leave as soon as we can." "So? Brooke? Are you going?" Ian adds. "It's your choice. We can still cancel the tickets."

I was shocked. "So... This is what you're doing all these days?"

"Well you can say so, I worked in stores and Shadow did some babysitting to earn the money. And plan the stuff, you know."

"Wow."

"I know." Shadow smiles. " 'S crazy, isn't it." "So are you going, Brooke?" Ian asks one more time.

"I... I don't know. I... I have to go now."

"Brooke-" Ian starts. "Shh... Let her think." I hear Shadow whisper to Ian. I quickly left.
