Another day of school.

Classes.

But that wasn't on my mind.

Ian. How should I explain it to him? Should I just... No. He'll just make me get in trouble.

What to do...

"Heyyyyyyy! Sup girrrrrllll!" I hear Shadow shouting my name, walking towards me. Wow, that took lots of attention. (Which I hate a lot) I hear whispers again but I try not to get affected by the negativeness.

"Hey Shadow. How's life?"

"Meh... Not bad. You?"

"Normal as hell."

We walk along, talking, pretending to feel not uncomfortable with the negativeness around us.

Ugh. Worst lesson incoming. Beep boop beep boop.

"GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!"

"Good morning Miss Turner." We reply lazily.

She claps sooo loud my ears hurt. "YOU'RE NOT IN THE MOOD! WAKE UP CLASS!"

"Good morning Miss Turner." We say in the same voice, only louder a bit.

"OKAY! TURN TO PAGE THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY-FOUR, CLASS."

Geez, won't her voice get cracked? My ears already broke.

Finally, break. I waited for years for this 15 minutes. But it's worth it...

"Oh, there you are, Brooke!"

I turn around. Ian. My heart starts thumping louder and louder.

"Oh, hey Ian.."

"Hello there!" Shadow says after me.

He looked at me like a kid looking at their teacher, with big eyes. "I can't find you this morning, where were you?"

"I went into the classroom early..."

We sat down on the bench.

"Hey, want some?" Shadow hands us her bag of crispy chips, shuffling some in her mouth at the same time. I take one while greedy Ian took a handful of chips.

"Ugh, I had Science class earlier, and you know what?! The teacher sneezed! And then..."

He doesn't notice my silence.

"And how's your classes, Brooke?" Ian asks me.

"Yeah... Oh, what? Oh um quite good." I say with a small tone.

"And you Shadow?" Ian turns to Shadow.

"Yeah, quite good. I really look forward to the music..."

DOOD THEY DON'T SUSPECT A THING ABOUT ME.

I decided to get up and go.

And that's when Ian finally notices.

"Brooke? Where are you going? Shadow, can you help me buy a bottle of drink? Thanks." Shadow gets up and heads toward school-canteen-buying-food-and drinks place. I walks slowly to let Ian catch up with me.

"What's wrong?"

"Um... Nothing."

"There's something you're hiding, tell me Brooke."

"..."

He grabs my hand and swings me around so I face him. I flinched for a while.

"You can trust me."

"Nothing..." I starts to struggle to make him let go of my left hand, but he just grabs it more tighter. Ahh! It hurts.

"Ahh!"

He immediately lets go.

"Ian, you're strong, you know."

"Yeah, I have muscles." He boasts. Sometimes he's just so cute.

Wait.

What.

Never mind, I look at my left hand and slide up my sleeve. Uh oh.

Bruises.

Ian is kinda shocked. "Oh my god Brooke! Where did you get those?"

"Um..."

"Tell me."

"..."

He looks at me with his eyes. "You're hiding something. What is it? Tell me. Tell me, I promise not to tell anyone."

"..."

"Oh c'mon." He makes his puppy dog eyes. "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeee..."

I can't. A giggle escapes out of my mouth. "Hehehe..."

Then we just laugh for 5 whole minutes. Omg... Then Shadow comes back and looks at us awkwardly.

Omg I can't. It's too funny... I don't know why... Ahahahahahahahaha

Then the clock rings. Phew. I don't have to tell him.

I don't know... Should I? Will he just criticize me? I've never told anyone before.

Well, we'll see.
