The entrance

Sometimes I want to forget everything, not because my life is miserable but because the world is boring. You wake up, do your routine and go to bed. Over and over and over.  It's tiring. I'm Y/N, a normal teenager who is experiencing this routine. At night, I lock myself in my room and get lost in imaginary worlds. And by day I go out with my friends.

Last night I read a story, but apparently I fell asleep because I woke up not remembering falling asleep. My mom putting the music-volume up to 100 was my wake up call this morning. I stretch out and walk over to my window to open the curtains. I look at my clock and see that it's 8 am. My mom is bringing my sister to school so I have some time for myself to wake up. I bounce back onto my bed and look for my phone that's still somewhere hidden underneath the covers. Once I found it, I put some music on and think about what I'm gonna do today. The morning sun is shining into my room and I have the urge to go for a morning run.

I put on my workout clothes and put my long curly hair into a ponytail. I walk downstairs and make myself some breakfast. Once I finish my breakfast, I grab a bottle of water and go for a run. The forest is basically my backyard, it's right next to my house and in the morning, it's the most beautiful place ever. I run through the open field, that's still a little hazy, towards the lake and stop running.

I see a bright light just behind the trees. I notice that there are 2 people hiding behind a couple trees and that one of them is pointing towards the lake with an object what looks like a branch. The light is getting brighter by the second and the next thing I know, I can't see at all. After a couple of seconds, the light is fading and I see the two people running away. I run towards them to see if they are okay. But they are gone.

I try to wrap my head around everything that happened and search for an explanation while sitting on the ground near the lake. It all happened so unexpectedly and fast. I want to grab my phone and call mom but I don't feel my phone in my pocket. I start to panic and search through the leaves hoping to find it. I mumble to myself "Great, this is just great, couldn't get any worse now, can it." After a thorough search I decide to give up and go home. I go through the open field, which weirdly feels different.

Once I arrive at the entrance of the woods, I don't see my house, I'm not seeing a house at all to be exact, just another open field. I'm panicking again and start to run through the field not stopping till I see something in the distance. The more I come closer, the bigger it gets. I see a huge castle surrounded with water, it looks mysterious yet magnificent.

The water is blocking me from getting any closer, so I decide to take a detour and climb my way to the top of the mountain, on the way there, I realize I've never seen this part of the forest before, I knew it was big but never knew this all was hidden. I wander deeper and deeper into the forest and closer to the top of the mountain. Once I reach the top, the view is breathtaking, I look at the mysterious castle and try to look through the windows to see any kind of movement, nothing.

I look at the top of the castle and see a man with a long white beard and a lady. I try to get their attention so I start jumping up and down to get them to notice me. As I jump I lose my balance and fall forward. All I can see is the water coming closer. As I hit the water, everything goes blank.
