Chapter 6

I spent the whole morning thinking about Jairus, and the thought that I still didn't know what was going on sucks. I laid on my comfy bed then snatched my phone under my pillow. Oh well, I almost forgot, it's fully charged again! I crept a smile on my lips, and thanked God I'm back to my normal life.

Holy macarronies! 10 missed calls from Jairus, and 6 missed calls from Lizy. This wasn't typical, getting as many missed calls as that. Without any options, I quickly dialed Jairus just as to be sure what's happening between the three of us or whatever. I sighed as the phone rang...

"Uhm.. hello?" I stammered primarily. But, silence... Nothing but silence.

"Hello?" I said again, now making my voice louder as it was.

Then I heard him.. obviously sighing deep unto his deepest breath.

"Lizy." I smiled as I heard his voice calling out my name. It just sent shivers down my spine.

"Jairus." I said calmly, as I toyed my blanket.

"Babe, I... I need to talk to you. It's really important. Especially for the two of us.

What is this all about? It's confusing me! Is he breaking up already? Is there any problem? Have I done anything wrong?

Numerous questions came processing on my mind.. but whatever it is, I had no doubt it'll make me feel bluer as ever.

I sighed again.. "Okay. This afternoon, I'll meet you at Lizy's garden. Would it be fine?"

This time I could feel him smiling, widely showing off his perfect set of teeth. I smiled too as I imagined.

"Absolutely."

After a few hours I tied my hair into a perfectly messy bun, then wore my loose jocky purple tee, my white shorts, then my galactic hipsterly sneakers. I simply looked good, but I think it wasn't good enough for him to see. I looked so ordinary, but I embellished my appearance a little, and put some riduculously violet lipstick on my lips. I, then wore a little bit of eye brows. Now I looked perfect...

Subsequently,  I finally went downstairs and got my scooter from the garage, which looked so vintage yet still beautiful with its pale shade of pink. I journeyed towards Lizy's,  which was only two blocks away. I arrived there after six to eight minutes, and found Lizy's little sister playing with this fancy white bunny. Then finally,  Lizy's familiar wavy hair came to my sight, until she noticed me. I mouthed 'hi' as she glared at me curiously.

Lizy came closer to me then opened their gate. She looked so beautiful today, as if she was kind of Snow white, with her wild red lipstick that matched her vibrant black hair.

"What are you doing here?" She said, after she waved her hand.

"Jairus. Talk." I emphasized each word as I caught Jairus' s glimpse. I entered, longing to make him kiss me as deep as ever. I ran, not minding Lizy anymore.

I pressed my lips gently unto his, and it was delicate than I could have ever imagined. He kissed me back, and everything felt so deep and  everything made it more feel like every bit of my heart and soul only throbs for him. It felt so good...

I stepped back, finally facing him straight into his gorgeous eyes. "So, what are we talking about now?"

He leaned back to the side of the brick wall, maybe lots of things came arguing inside his brain. He sighed as he bowed his head, then looked at me again. "Alice." He snifled a snicker. "Alice.. Alice Smith..I- I'm leaving."

Leaving? Where? What was he talking about?

I was speechless.. I bit my lower lip and stroke my head to look up the ceiling, probably forcing myself not to cry. But I did. No one is supposed to go away. Not this time.. Not from me.

"Y-you're what?" I asked him again, finally making things sure if I heard him say that right. "Say it loud, Jai. Say it loud!!"

"I-I'm leaving,Alice.." He now said loudly, looking at me tear-struck. "We're migrating to Denmark, Al. And we leave right on friday morning, 8:00 A.M."

I gasped at his sentence..  He can't be leaving, not on my birthday!!!

I wept so bad that I'd incontrovertibly came to conclusion that I really didn't feel my nerves anymore. All I saw was Jairus in front of me, and a nasty passport on his hands.

"If that's it, then.." I took a deep breath then let out a heavy exhale, trying to look brave by now. "Th-then, farewell, my love."
