Chapter 5 - Meeting The Parents

DIGGY'S POV

Ya look good Dig, ya look damn good. I smiled & walked out my bedroom. "I'm going to Y/n's.." "Wait wait...you what?" Dad stopped me. "Y/n?" Mom questioned. "As in Michael Y/Ln's little sister, Y/n? Your crush since the fourth grade, Y/n?" "Ma!!" I shouted. Dad grinned devilishly. "Since fourth grade aye?" "BYEEEEE!!" I left. "Damn ma!" I murmured to myself as I walked to my car. Once I made it to Y/n's house, I whispered a little prayer. I hope this goes well. I walked up to the door & knocked. Moments later, it swung open. "Good, you're here.." Y/n pulled me in. I stopped her & kissed her. She giggled. "Not in the house.." She said & continued her journey to the kitchen.

Nice place. Never really been in here.. "Diggy?" I looked up & smiled. "Hey Ms. Y/Ln.." "Wait..Diggy? What the hell is a Diggy? I thought your name was Daniel?" I chuckled. "It is, Diggy's just a nickname.." "Ohh...well then." She turned to her mom & smiled. "So yeah...this is my boyfriend." Then I heard a deep voice coming from the next room. I quivered. "Y/n, who was at the door?" "Not your house Lawrence.." Ms. Y/Ln said. He walked in & a girl walked in behind him. "Not today Quiana.." He looked at me. I looked away. "Who're you?" "Uh Daniel.." He rose his eyebrow. "That's Diggy, Lawrence.." "The Simmons kid?" I nodded. "Huh... I got my eye on you.." "DAD!" Y/n yelled. "Alright, alright.." He walked off. "Hey..." I looked up. "I'm Aionna." She smiled. "Hey.." I kinda smiled. "Don't let him scare you..." Ms. Y/Ln told me. I kinda nodded. "Sit sit, dinner's almost ready.." "Yeah, the one I didn't cook.." I chuckled at little. "Oh you hush.." She laughed.

"What made you finally ask Y/n out?" Ms. Y/Ln asked her as I sat down. "She finally noticed me.." I mumbled. "What?" She turned & looked at Y/n. "You ignored him!?" "I didn't know he was him.. The Daniel I remember was short, had braces, chubby cheeks and wore glasses..." Y/n sighed. "Then he was just gone, I always wondered what happened to him. I like the attention.. It stopped so I just..." She shrugged. "I got over it.." I chuckled. "So you missed the attention??" "Only from you.." She smiled. I smiled back. "Would you just kiss already!?" Aionna yelled impatiently. "Ain't nobody gon be kissin nothing but this baseball bat!" Mr. Y/Ln said, walking in with a baseball bat in his hand. I jumped up & inched my way over to Ms. Y/Ln. "LAWRENCE!!" "DAD!!" Ms. Y/Ln & Y/n yelled. "GET OUTTA HERE!!!" "Why are you even here!? You're ruining my life!" Y/n ran off. "Y/n, sweetie come back.." Ms. Y/Ln called after her. "Leave me alone.." Then a door slammed. "Smooth dad! And you wonder why we all choose to live with mom!!" Aionna shook her head. "You're crazy! None of us can feel happiness around you!" She ran off as well. He sighed. "Real nice Lawrence, let yourself out." Ms. Y/Ln shook her head. "Come on Diggy.." She walked off. I followed.

"Y/n, sweetie open the door.." Ms. Y/Ln said softly. "No!" "Well can you atleast let Diggy in!?" Then door swung open moments later & she pulled me in, slamming the door behind me. Locking the door, she walked over to her bed. I cleared my throat. "You alright?" She sniffled. "No.." "Come here.." She got up & walked over to me. I embraced her into a hug. She sobbed silently. "It's alright babe.." "No it's not!" She sniffled. "He's ruining my life. Everything and everyone in my life either left or got ruined! It's not fair!!" She cried. "Do it look like I'm going anywhere?" She looked up at me. "I ain't going nowhere no time soon.." She smiled & kissed me. I kissed her right back.

A few days later

"Last fuckin day of school bitch! TURN UP!!" Lydia yelled. Y/n & I laughed. "Can you be any louder!?" Spin asked. She smirked. "I'm glad you asked.." She opened to mouth to yelled louder. "Don't you do it.." Y/n yelled. Lydia closed her month. "See I thought you were cute at first, now I think I might have to reconsider that.." Spin shrugged. "You ain't hurtin my feelings.." She scuffed & got up. "LyLy.." Y/n call after her, but Lydia ignored her. "Thanks a lot, jackass!" She got up & ran after Lydia. "Really dude!?" I asked him, then stopped. "Wait hol' up.. you like her?" He scuffed. "No.. She ain't all that." "Yet you work so hard to piss her off.." I chuckled. He rolled his eyes. "Whateva man.." He walked off. Just great...they left me..

" Please come help me.. " " Where're you? " " My car.. " " Hol' on, here I come. " I got up. " Please hurry ! " I rushed outside to the student parking lot. Once I came out, Lydia was sitting on the curb. She looked so lifeless, no emotion....she looked dead. "What happened to Lydia?" "Your fuckin best friend!" She sniffled. "I've never seen her like this." I sighed. I can't believe I'm bout to do this shit. I cleared my throat.

"Baby, I don't need convincing, I know it's real, I can sense it. The possibilities are endless, but we can start off with a friendship. I knew as soon as you entered, just standing there in the entrance I had to grab your attention do something to spark your interest.." I looked at Y/n. Her eyes widened & her mouth dropped to the ground. "And it seems I got it down though, you been right here just talking to me about an hour so... Tell me this, you know as soon you walk through that door, right when you saw me you were thinking what you doing and more." I held Y/n & smiled. "Don't try to front, I see you smiling so just tell me this....How would you feel if we dip out and this would never end? Damn you got me saying shit I never said. Man don't want to sound conceited, but nothing is repeated. When your with me guarantee it I can feel it, I can see it so you should never want to settle, do you see yourself? Be yourself and won't let nobody take your place. I got everything I wanted standing right here in my face.." I kissed her, then looked at Lydia, her face lit up. She jumped up from the curb.

"OH MY GODDD!!!" She gasped. "You're good!" I smiled & took a bow. "Where in the hell did you learn how to rap like that!?" I chuckled. "It's always been a passion of mine.." "And you write that?" I nodded. "Damn girl.." She said, looking at Y/n. "You better watch yo back girl, better not let nobody else find out about this.." I laughed. "Uh y-ye-yeah...yeah I-I guess.." I smiled. She looked up at me, then walked off. I walked her leave. I sighed. "What else you hiding from her?" Lydia laughed. I cut my eyes at her & walked off.
