in a rush, jimin scurried around his apartment trying to locate his keys, wallet, and hoodie, which all inconveniently decided to play scavenger hunt with him, frustrating the boy even more than he already was that night.

or early morning, he pondered as he quickly glanced at the time on his phone before fumbling with his keys and locking the front door.

he hurriedly made his way to his car, pulling the hood of his jacket over his head to hide his somewhat unkempt appearance.

he'd been up all night tirelessly working on a dance routine for himself and hoseok when he suddenly received a phone call from jungkook. using the interruption as a justification for a small break, he was unprepared for the wave of incoherent cries as he pressed the phone closer to his ear, desperately trying to decipher the words of the crying boy.

his worries only increased when the younger suddenly ended the call, a few key words that he was able to catch amidst jungkook's sobs echoing through his mind.

jimin drove as quickly as he could, growing even more anxious as he got closer and closer to his destination. he prayed to the universe that jungkook hadn't done anything stupid or harmful; the mournful cries of the boy indicative of his emotionally unstable state.

as soon as he was parked in front of jungkook's, he ripped his keys out of the ignition and leaped out of his car, sprinting his way to the younger's front door in record time.

cursing himself for his small and shaky fingers, he fished for the spare key attached to his keychain and finally managed to open the door, a stream of profanities escaping his lips when he dropped the keys due to the clumsiness of his panicked state.

"jungkook?!"

silence.

that only served to increase jimin's worries even more.

continuing to yell out his name, he began to search every room downstairs before making his way up to the second floor, heading straight towards jungkook's bedroom.
