jungkook lay in his—now tidy—room, staring up at the dimly lit stars decorating his ceiling.

he owed jimin big time.

not only did the older stay by his side for the past couple of days, taking care of his junior and making sure that he was there for every little panic attack that ensued after that night, but he also went out of his way to clean the younger's living space, doing his laundry and throwing away all of the trash that had accumulated throughout the past couple of months.

of course he tried to help, but the older waved him off, insisting that he leave it to his hyung. if anything, he almost got mad anytime the little bunny tried to take one of the big plastic bags full of trash to the dumpster.

so he let his hyung be, resorting to sitting on the couch mindlessly watching anything that appeared on netflix, his mind too preoccupied to focus on the screen.

first, he had to somehow make it up to his hyungs for being there for him. after his huge mental breakdown on saturday, all of his hyungs came over later that afternoon with food and drinks, staying with the youngest for the entirety of the day. he felt a bit embarrassed, knowing that they had come because of his unexpected episode, but he was more than grateful.

they've been regularly checking up on him for the past couple of days, not that the boy minded. he missed them and having the chance to talk to his hyungs again was something that jungkook began to look forward to each day. although he did have moments when he just didn't want to talk to anyone, but luckily his hyungs were understanding and gave him the space when he needed it.

honestly if jimin hadn't come when he did, he wasn't sure what he might've done to himself that night. and that terrified him to his soul.

shaking the thought away from his head, he grabbed a nearby pillow, pulling it up to his chest as he pondered about the next day.

wednesday. march 20th.

six months without taehyung.

pursing his lips, jungkook took in a deep breath, trying to contain the small pool of tears that were already threatening to escape from his eyes.

he didn't know what to do.

he wanted to go visit him, but he was terrified.

closing his eyes, he surrendered to the dull aching in his chest, allowing the tears to fall down his cheeks as memories of taehyung began to invade his mind.

it hurt.

it fucking hurt like hell.

and he was so sick and tired of feeling this way.

his gaze lingered on the glow in the dark constellations above before he finally made his decision.

taking in a deep breath, jungkook harshly wiped away his tear stained cheeks and grabbed for his phone.
