Chapter 4

I watched as Chin talked to the large man in the truck with a smile. The man, Komakona, coerced Steve into buying the two of them XL shirts with his face on it and all three of us, large shaved ices. I was leaning against Danny's car when out of the corner of my eye I saw a little girl walk up to the two boys.

The small girl looked at Steve and spoke curiously, "Are you a Cop?".

"N-no." He sounded nervous and I turned and gave the scene my full attention.

"Well you look like a cop." That was a matter of fact tone that I had used very much as a child and chuckled to myself. Steve was gonna lose this one and I could tell that Danny knew it too.

He squatted down to her level holding out his untouched shaved ice and spoke, "You like cotton candy? Go find your mom."

"I don't like Cotton Candy." She crossed her arms and spoke very deliberately.

Danny rolled his eyes at Steve and began to speak while reaching into his car, "I got something you might like-" she looked at him and uncrossed her arms, "How about- That?" He finished holding out the giant pink stuffed bunny that i had been petting in the back seat to the girl.

In no time she had uncrossed her arms and taken the bunny from Danny, nodding her head, "Yeah! Thanks" and ran off to her mother.

"You're Welcome" Danny said with a small smile tucking his hands in his pocket.

I busted out laughing at the two men, Danny smiled at me and turned to Steve who was looking at him dubiously. "What?"

That very moment I heard Chin's laugh and turned to see him shaking his head. Steve just smiled with a nod.

"You better have a name."

*mini time skip to Five-0 Headquarters*

The four of us were standing in a huddle at the new headquarters while Chin showed us the tablet and began to speak.

"Sang Min. He came here from China 8 years ago and according to my man, Komokona, he runs the islands human import/export business. So Hesse could've used him to get on or off the island."

I nodded slightly and Danny spoke up from his seat. "Alright. So let's say this guy is for real, he still has no reason to tell us where Hesse is."

I was thinking about that-agreeing with Danny when Steve spoke up, "Alright, let's find some leverage, twist his arm a little." I rose my brow and looked at Danny.

Chin spoke up, "Define Leverage."

"Simple bait and trap, wire up and undercover and send him in."

I rolled my eyes and said, "Look sailor, there's a problem with that- This island is small- if the cops here know the players in the crime world this well, chances are that the bad guys know them just as well."

Chin agreed and backed me up, "That might work on the mainland, but we are on an island of less than a million people. So we need to look for our bait outside of the box."

Steve looked at me "So soldier, whats your suggestion?" God he sounded so smug.

"I don't have one, Chin on the other hand most definitely does." We all looked at the man in question and he just smiled.

"Oh yeah."
