"Your turn, guys. You don't want to get beak-burn." Linda said. C.C just wiped it off. A mask scared both C.C and Blu. "Whoa! What's going on here?" Linda asked. "You arrived in time for Carnival." Tulio said. "Carnival?" Linda asked. "Yes. It's the biggest party in the world. You know, a time to have fun and dance." Tulio played a small drum beat on the steering wheel. Linda laughed. "Oh, my. Is she a performer?" Linda asked. "No. In fact, she's my dentist. Dr. Barbosa!" Tulio beeped the horn and called out to her. "Oy! Don't forget to floss, Tulio." She laughed. "You got it! Come tomorrow night, everyone will be dressed like that." Tulio said. Linda just chuckled. "Not me." Linda said nervously. "Oba, la, la, la" C.C felt like she knew that voice so she sung along. "ya E, e, ei!" "E ai? Tudo bom? (Whats up? It's OK?)" The bird asked. "Nico! Pedro!" She realized who it was and flew through a gap in between the bars of the cage. She hugged both of the birds. "C.C! E aí, babybird!? (C.C! Whats up babybird!?)" Nico said. "Onde você era menina"!? (Where you been girl!?)" Pedro said. "Uh C.C?" Blu asked. "Hey, Nico. He's a tourist." Pedro said. "Funny, you don't look like one." Nico said. "Except you got pigeon doo-doo on your nose." Pedro said disgusted and C.C just giggled while Blu wiped the sunscreen off his beak. "Oh, oh, oh, no, this is just SPF 3,000." Blu said. "So are you here for Carnival?" Nico asked. "Oh, actually, I'm just here to meet a... a girl." Blu said. "And I have to meet a boy." C.C said disapointed now that she had found her childhood crush and best friend. "Oh, a girl!" Nico said ignoring the fact that C.C said that she was meeting a boy. "Yes." Pedro said. "Little word of advice: you make the first move. Brazilian ladies respond to confidence." Nico spun C.C around while she played along when actually her heart was beating fast. "Oh, right." Blu said noticing C.C's weird behaviour. "Yeah, it's all about swagger. You got to puff out that chest. Mmm! Swing that tail. Eyes narrow, like some kind of crazy love hawk." C.C joined in on the squawk. "But, first, we got to bust you out." Nico said. "What?" C.C looked at Nico. "What?" Blu asked. "Yeah! I'm-a pop that cage open like a soda can." Pedro pushed the against a cage bar. "No, no, no. Whoa! No, no, no, that's okay. Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Blu said. "You call that popping? Whew. This thing's robust." Pedro grunted. "No, no, no. No, guys., really. I'm fine. This cage is great. Love this cage" Blu said hugging the bars. "Ta bom. Suit yourself. Hey, don't forget-- love hawk. Bemvindo!" Pedro said as C.C flew back into the cage. "Yes. Yes, bem... And... and to you, as well." Blu said. At the animal hospital. "This is the heart and soul of our aviary-- our treatment room." Tulio inmitated birdcalls as some birds came flying to him. "They really like you. Oh!" Linda chuckled. "A lot." More birds went flying to him. "Yes. I'm their great, big mama bird." Tulio said chewing some seeds and opening his mouth for the birds to eat. "Ew." Blu looked disgusted. "Disgusting." C.C said. Linda chuckled "Wow.". "Want some?" Tulio asked. "Ah! Oh, I'm, good." Linda said. "Many of the birds here were rescued from smugglers." Tulio said. "Smugglers?" Linda asked. "Yes. And, unfortunately, the poor birds are often hurt or even killed in the process. But with proper care, they can be saved. Look here. This poor guy was found last night." Tulio said coming to a white cockatoo. The cockatoo made weak squawks. "I have a bad feeling about you! May you be cursed by every devil out there!" C.C mumbled loud enough for the cockatoo to hear. "Hey, buddy. You're looking great today. Much better. Much better." Tulio said petting it. They walked off. "Get well soon." Blu said. "Die I tell you DIE!" C.C said. "C.C!" Blu scolded her but the cockatoo growled. In the sanctuary. "So, where's Jewel?" Linda asked. "Oh, we have a special place for Jewel. She's a very spirited bird." Tulio said. "Spirited my b-" C.C said. "Don't even finish that C.C!" Blu scolded her again. An aviary intern groaned. "I'll say." He said. "WHAT THE FU-" C.C didn't even finish. "She did that? Oh, charming. Okay, I want to go home now." Blu said squawking in fear. "No, no, don't worry. I'm going to make you look irresistible." Tulio said. Blu and C.C were pushed into the cage. "See ya! I'm going to find an air vent so I can escape." C.C flew off into the darkness. "Maybe I should..." Linda got stopped by Tulio. "No, no. Give it a chance." Tulio said. The lights suddenly turn on and Blu hears talking. "Hello? Whoa! Hello? Uh... I come in peace. Whoa." Blu stares at Jewel in amazement. She's beautiful. What were they talking about? She's... she's like an angel. An angel who's getting really close... "Aah!" Jewel pins Blu down. "Quem é você? Quê que você está fazendo aqui?" Jewel questioned him. You know, like the cheese. With the mold on it. You know, that smells really bad. That's stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid." Blu hit himself with his claws. "All right, come on. We don't have much time." Jewel said pulling Blu by the wing "Oh, oh, wow. Uh, okay. Confidence. Crazy love hawk." Blu reminded himself. "All right." Jewel said and then turned around to see Blu trying to kiss her. "Whoa. Hey." She pushed him away. "What are you doing?" She asked. "What? What... what you wanted me to. But, just for argument's sake, uh, what are... what are you doing?" Blu asked her. "I'm trying to escape." She pointed to the air conditioning vent. "Oh. Uh, yeah, escape. That-that's where I was going with that thing I just did." Blu said as C.C went to the back to the vent cover. "Hey Jewel- Nevermind..." She stayed in there. "Wait. W-w-w-wait. Did you actually think we were going to kiss?" Jewel asked him. "No. No-no-no-no. It's not what you think." Blu said. "We just met!" Jewel got angry while through the screen Tulio and Linda could hear squawking. "Oh, my." Linda said surprised. "I think they need a little help." Tulio said. "I mean, I know how my feathers look, but I'm not that kind of bird." Blu said but suddenly a disco ball came down, the lights were dimmed and Lionel Richie's 'Say you, Say me' started
playing. "Okay, I had nothing to do with that. But, huh, you have to admit it's actually a pretty good song." Blu said as Jewel gave him a look as he starts singing to the music. "Yeah, sing it, Lionel." Blu said as Jewel attacked him while C.C watched from the vent. "Ah... Young love... Actually reader I've found us stuck in a pickle with Nico." C.C- Wait A minute! That's not in the script! C.C shut up! "Wow. That was fast." Linda said as they watched them thinking they were mating. "Lionel Richie, works every time. We should probably give them privacy." Tulio said. "I'm not sure I should leave Blu and C.C here alone." Linda said. "Oh, no, no, no. Don't worry. Sylvio will keep an eye on them all night. Besides, he's got Jewel and C.C." Tulio said. "Boa noite, Rio! This is the final countdown to Carnaval! Let's samba" The man on the radio said but then Sylvio heard something and went to inspect but found the cockatoo from earlier on the ground chirping painfully. "Aw. Come here, poor little birdie. Aw, It's okay. I got you. I got you." He said when suddenly the bird put a cloth up to his mouth and he fainted. "Excuse me. Please. I am trying to sleep." Blu said as C.C and Jewel worked on the vent. "Oh, I'm sorry, sleepyhead. I'm trying to escape." Jewel snapped. "Escape? Why? The cage is awesome." Blu said. "The cage..." Jewel laughed. "Oh, what was I thinking? I wouldn't expect a pet to understand." Jewel said. "Pet? Did you just call me a pet? For the record, I am not a pet. I am a companion. And you know what? Do whatever you want, 'cause tomorrow morning, Linda will come for me and C.C then this whole nightmare will be over." Blu said. "Incredible. You would rather be with a-a-a human than your own kind." Jewel said in disbelief.
