"Well, that human has given me love and affection for the 15 years, whereas my own kind tried to strangle me after 15 seconds!" Blu argued. C.C stay silent, hiding, she had a bad feeling so she hid. "Yeah, well, because of them, I've lost everything. You can't trust them." Jewel counter argued but then gasped. " Of course, you can trust humans." Blu argued back and heard noises. "Jewel? Jewel." Blu looked at a figure hovering over him. "Oh. Hi, there." Blu said but then the bag went over him and he yelled. "Uh oh." C.C said and followed the figure silently. "Okay. Okay. There's no place like home. There's no place like home. Oh, how I wish I was back in my own cage, with my mirror and my swing and my little bell. Oh, how I miss my little bell." Blu panicked. "Shh! Play dead." Jewel said dropping to the bottom of the cage. "What? I don't need to play dead. I'm about to have a heart attack!" Blu said. "Just do it!" Jewel said. "Fine." Blu said started to make dying noises. "Stop twitching." Jewel said. "Oh, come on. It's the twitching that sells it." Blu said. "Shh." Jewel said as they entered some kind of hideout. "Well, what do you know? Good work, Fernando. You see, boys? What did I tell you about this one?" Marcel asked. "That you were going to pay him half as much as you said?" Marcel slapped Tipa in the face to shut him up. "Ow!" Tipa groaned. "No, you idiot! That he reminds me of myself when I was that age. Sweet, resourceful. Here you go, kid." He handed Fernando some money. "Hey. This is only half of what you promised me." Fernando said ad C.C looked through a window and saw heaps of cages. "Ah, shut up, kid." Marcel said as he took the cover off the cage to see Blu and Jewel looking dead. "What the...?" He picked up Jewel. "I thought I told you I needed these birds alive. Tell me, Fernando, does this look alive to you? Huh?" Marcel asked then Jewel bit him and flew away.  They all started going after Jewel until Nigel got her. "Hello, pretty bird. What's the matter? Cockatoo got your throat?" Nigel asked. "Nigel! Alive." Marcel said. Timeskip to inside the cage room. Nigel came but quickly raced up to the window and grabbed C.C. "My, aren't you extraordinary." He said holding her by the throat. "What happened to you? Did time claw you in the feathers?" C.C asked clawing off some of his feathers. Nigel just threw her into Blu and Jewel's cage. "C.C! Are you okay?" Blu asked as she nodded. "Something seems to be lodged in my beak. Would you mind?" Nigel asked flying down to a group of small birds. They all ran away except for one which they pushed back to him. Nigel snapped his beak down and cackled but luckily the bird got it's leg out just in time. Then Nigel jumped onto the cage the trio were in. "Oh, I know I'm not a pretty birdie, but I used to be quite a looker. A star. Lights, camera, action." Nigel then sung about how he was a pretty bird. "Sweet nightmares." He cackled before leaving. "Not cool, man! Scary, but not cool! Hey, are you okay?" Blu asked. "No, I am definitely not okay!" Jewel said throwing herself against the bars of the cage. "Whoa! Whoa, whoa, wait, wait. What are you doing?" Blu asked. "Getting out of here." Jewel said. "Whoa!" Blu said as the cage swung back and forth like a swing. "Are you going to help me or what?" Jewel asked. "A-a-actually, all the survival guides say to sit and wait-- ow!-- and-and help will come." Blu said. "No one is coming!" Jewel threw herself more violently at the cage making it swing back and forth more violently. "Whoa." Blu tried to keep his balance. "We are on our own, and if we just sit here, we're going to die!" Jewel said still throwing herself against the cage as Blu screamed. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" Tipa and Armando watched the soccer game. "No!" Tipa and Armando said. "Nigel, get out of the way!" Tipa said then Nigel squawked. "Yeah! Hold on!" Armando said. "Wait. Why don't you just open the door?" C.C said unlocking the cage door. "Are you kidding me?" Jewel asked. "What? It's just a standard flip slide bolt. Just rotate..." Blu explained. "Come on! Let's fly!" Jewel and C.C flew out of the cage and Jewel grabbed a hold of Blu, but Blu grabbed the cage with his beak. "What are you doing?" Jewel asked. "Oh, I can't..." Blu said. "What? You can't what?" Jewel asked. Suddenly Marcel's men came in and then tried to stop them but failed in doing so. "Whoa! I can't fly!" Blu said as they slid across washline. C.C flew off catching up to them. "You couldn't tell me this before now?" Jewel asked. "It didn't matter before now!" They both crashed into the wall. "I hate you." Jewel said. Then they crashed to the ground C.C flying right behind them. "Is there anything else I need to know?" Jewel asked. "Yes. I can't fly, I pick my beak, and once in a while, I pee in the birdbath, Happy?" Blu said. "There they are!" Armando said. "We gotta get out of here!" Jewel said running off. "Whoa!" Blu said being dragged behind her. "Move! Come on, just move! Move." Jewel said. " Wait. Wait. Listen to me. Flying may not be my thing, but walking is. Follow my lead. Inside leg, outside leg." Blu said. "Yeah. Yeah, okay. I got it." Jewel said. "Inside, outside." Blu said. "Inside, outside, inside, outside!" Jewel said. "Inside, outside." Blu said. "Inside, outside." Jewel said. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" The crowd cheered. "Huh? Yes! Yes!" Marcel's men got distracted. "Come on!" Armando said. "Ow!" Tipa said. Then there was a cat in front of them so Blu barked like a dog. "See? I'm bilingual, too." Blu said. "Oh, this is great. I'm chained to the only bird in the world who can't fly." Jewel growled. "Actually, there are about 40 species of flightless birds." Blu said. "Duck!" Jewel said. "No, ducks can fly." Blu said. "No! Duck!" Jewel said referring to the cart in front of them. Then a great chase went on between the trio and Nigel until Nigel hit a power breaker. "Ooh. Ooh. What was that?" Blu said inside a jungle. "A stick." Jewel said. "Ahh! And that?" Blu asked. "A rock." C.C said flying behind them. "Oh, right. Yeah. Is that a spider on my back?" Blu asked. "Will you quit it?! It's just a leaf. Turn around." Jewel said as Blu complied. "Um..." Jewel quickly hit the spider off of Blu's back. "Leaf. Told you. Now, uh, just come on. We need to find a safe place to spend the night." Jewel said. "Safe? Safe? We are in the jungle. You know when people say, "It's a jungle out there"? Well, I'm pretty sure they don't mean it as a good thing." Blu said. "Look, I hate to break it to you, but this is where our kind naturally lives." Jewel said. " Hey, hey, don't talk to me about nature. I watch Animal Planet. I know all about the food chain. Ahh! Ahh! You see? You see? Out here, I'm just an hor d'oeuvres. Nothing more than a feathery spring roll." Blu freaked. "That is why we stay in the trees and not on the ground. After you." Jewel said. "Oh. No. I don't think so. Nuh-uh. No. I would feel much more comfortable in something man-made. Um... Hey... How about up there?" Blu pointed to a man-made structure. "I can't believe I have to drag your clumsy butt up there." Jewel said. "Drag me?" Blu scoffed. "Watch and learn." Blu said and he dragged Jewel up while C.C flew up. "You see? Who needs flying?" Blu said reaching the top. "Birds. Birds need flying. Flying is... it's freedom and-and not having to rely on anyone. Don't you want that?" Jewel asked. "Mmm, I don't know. Sounds a little lonely. Uh... uh, I'm probably going to be up for a little while, muh, 'cause I'm-I'm still on Minnesota time." Blu said. "Good night." Jewel said as C.C snuggled under her wing falling right asleep. " Good night, Jewel. Good night, C.C. Good night, Linda." Blu said looking up at the night sky. The next morning they were testing a plan out. "Are you sure this is going to work?" Jewel asked. "Positive. Check out my math." Blu said. "But Blu's plans mostly fail to work most times." C.C Chuckled. "Yeah, that's... that's comforting. Thank you. Look, let's just get this chain broken." Jewel said. "Right. Then we can go and find Linda." Blu said. "No, you can go find Linda. Once this chain is off, I'm going to go back to being free in the jungle. Deal?" Jewel asked. "Fine. Deal." Blu said then they tried his plan but it failed. "Told you." C.C said. "Nice try, brainiac." Jewel said. " I think something is watching us." Blu said but then some baby toucans came out. "Oh, be careful, Blu. They might snuggle you to death." Jewel said. C.C made sure that none of them came close to her. "Intruders!" They all shouted. "Attack!" One of them said. as C.C flew up high enough for them not to reach her. "What's going on down there?" A familiar voice asked. "Go, go, go. Off with you." Rafael said. "Daddy! Daddy!" The children said going to him. "Okay, guys, guys... I've told you thousand times. Manuela, Sofia, come on, now. Listen to me. Ow! Oh, yeah, right in the eye." The toucan said. "Oh, precious, aren't they?" Jewel said. "Kids? 17 of them, and one on the way. Hey! He's not a maraca! Stop shaking him!" He told off two of his children. "They're giving me gray feathers. Oh, this papa needs a break. So, you two lovebirds headed for Carnival?" Rafael asked. "Whoa." Jewel chuckled. "Lovebirds?" She asked. "Uh, we're more like acquaintance birds." Blu said. "And not even that. We're more like chained-to-each-other birds." Jewel said. "Yeah. I-I mean, if... Ow!" Blu yelped as a chick plucked on of his feathers. "What is it with this kid and the feathers?" Blu asked. "We have no idea. We're having him tested." Rafael said. "RAFAEL!" C.C hugged him. "C.C! I thought we lost you for good!" Rafael said hugging her back. "Oh and look at you now. Such a fine young bird." Rafael said. "So, do you think you could help us get this thing off?" Jewel held up the chain. "Hmm. Lucky for you, you know Rafael, and Rafael knows everyone. Oh! Again with the eye. Okay, want me to call your mother?" Rafael asked. "No!" Rafael chuckled. "Works every time. They're scared to death of her. Ahh!" Rafael screamed seeing Eva right next to him. "Call me for what?!" Eva asked. "Eva!" C.C hugged her. "C.C! It's been forever I hope you haven't been hurt." Eva said hugging her back. "Eva, my love." Rafael Chuckled. "I must take this young couple to see Luiz." Rafael said. " Luiz? Huh. You don't fool me for a second! You and your amigo just want to sneak off to Carnival." Eva said. "Oh, Carnival. That magical time when I met the most beautiful bird in the world." Rafael flirted with Eva while the others made some sort of sound. "I still remember the song that was playing when I first laid eyes on you. ♪Tall and tanned and young and lovely♪ ♪ The girl from Ipanema♪ ♪Goes walking♪ Come on, baby, sing it!" Rafael said. "♪And when she passes♪" She sung off key. "♪Each one she passes goes, "Ahh!"♪" Eva sung. " Like a river of the sweetest honey." Rafael said. "Ooh! I guess love is deaf too." Jewel said then Rafael kissed Eva as their children looked away disgusted. "Okay. Take them to Luiz, but hurry back." Eva said. "You are an angel. I'll miss you, my juicy little mango." Rafael said. "I can't believe she actually let me go." Rafael said. "So, uh... how far is this Luiz?" Blu asked. "Not far. Thirty minutes as the crow flies." Rafael said. "Not far. Thirty minutes as the crow flies."Rafael said. "Bobo here can't fly." Jewel said. "But... but he's a bird!" Rafael said. "Not all birds fly. There are ostriches." Blu said. "You are not an ostrich!" C.C said. "Well, not technically, but..." "Wait, wait, wait! My friends, I wanna help, but to walk the whole way, it... it... it can't be done!" Rafael said then he looked back to see his kids asking for him. "But hey, we might as well give it a shot. Let's go, quickly. No, no, d-don't look back. They sense fear." Rafael said. "I've changed my mind! Yeah. Uh, maybe we could find a... a bus schedule or something?" Blu said looking at the cliff. "Come on! You're not gonna back out now, Not in front of the lady!" Rafael said. "Uh... huh! Okay, yeah. Yeah, yeah, sure." Blu said. "All right! That's the spirit!" Rafael said. "You're sure you're up for this?" Jewel asked. "Yeah. Yeah, I mean, well it's not like we're just hurling ourselves off a mountain or something, right?" Blu asked. "Actually, that was pretty much my entire plan." Rafael said. "What?" Blu asked. "No. Don't worry, Blu. It's in your DNA. And if our featherless friends can do it, how hard can it be?" Rafael asked as they watched someone hand glide. "Fun, right?" Rafael asked. "Yeah. Fun." Blu said. "Okay. I need you two to get closer. Closer. Closer. Ooh. Nice. Now put your wings around each other." Rafael prepared them for flight. "What?" Blu asked. "Come on, amigo! It's not like she's going to bite. Will you?" Rafael asked. "We'll see." Jewel said. "Now, you flap your right wing, you flap your left wing, and together, you fly!" Rafael said. "Uh... but this doesn't seem aerodynamically possible!" Blu said. "Ey-ya-ya-ya-ya! You think too much! Fly! It's not what you think up here. It's what you feel in here. And when you feel the rhythm of your heart, it's like Samba! You fly! See? It's easy" Rafael demonstrated. "Easy? Easy for you to say. 'Cause from... from here it looks really, really hard!" Blu said. "Hey, if you want to see Linda again, this is the only way." Jewel said. "Okay, you're right." Blu said. "Yes, I am." Jewel said. "This is for Linda." Blu said. "Right!" Jewel said. "Keep it simple." Blu said. "Easy-breezy." Jewel said. "Thrust, lift, drag." Blu said. "Oh, come on! Let's go!" Jewel said. "Whoa, whoa, wait!" Blu said. "Inside, outside. Inside, outside. Inside, outside. Inside, outside. Inside, outside. Inside..." They both said. Then they fell off the cliff but onto a hand glider. Then Blu let go but accident and they started falling and disaster happened. Then Rafael expressed his disappointment. Then they all got onto a mango truck.
