Chapter 9

Hazel's POV

"Bri, I can't come with you to school right now, You go first." I said while lying on my bed.

"I go first or your not going to school? Zel, we need to take our Quarter exam. Just in case you forgot." She explained and went beside my bed.

I feel really sick. I want to go to my class and answer those exams. But my body was not cooperating with me today.

I stood up and told Bri to wait up for me because there's time for us not to be late in the Exams. I went straight ahead to the bathroom to do my stuff.

"I know your sick, I checked you yesterday night. I just don't want you to have a failing grade. This is our First quarter and we’re getting closer to our second quarter. Can you handle it?" She asked with worriedness laced on her voice

"Yeah. I guess. Besides I will finish that exam fast." I said.

"Arrogant." She commented while rolling her eyes.

After doing my stuff and fixing myself, Bri and I went to our school, I let her drive because I really feel that I just wanted to lay in my bed, all day and just rest.

I went straight to our room and I saw Adam looking at me, is it too obvious that I look dumb? I smiled at him and went to my sit, beside him. This was arranged only in this subject.

"Are you okay, babe? You look sick." He commented while looking at me, worry was visible in his face.

"Im fine, babe." I said and gave him a very sweet smile.

The professor suddenly came in and the room was filled with silence, most students are worried on those almost 200 questions. I was so worried too, I didn't do such studying because I feel sick. I'm hoping for my stock knowledge this time.

After 30mins, I was ready to write my last answer on my answer sheet when I started to feel dizzy. I wrote my last answer and lay my head down on the table. We're given a time for about two hours to finish the exam. I'm lucky that all of it was taught in class and I listened to it.

I feel Adam notice it because I feel someone is trying to massage my head. I'm sure it's him.

After a couple hours. Our professor told us to pass the paper. As I walk through his desk I feel really dizzy and suddenly everything went black.

Adam's POV

Seeing her laying down at the hospital bed makes me weak. I know I don't need to be weak but I never felt so afraid that time when I so her collapse. I had to be strong. She needs me.

We're just waiting for her to wake up. My friends and her friends are also here. They heard the news when an ambulance suddenly went straight to our school.

Zel, wake up please, for your friends, for me, it pains me seeing you in this state. I feel very weak, I felt like I could've done better at helping you through this. Not hearing you annoy me, or calling me babe. It hurts.

“Wake up Zel, please. Let me see those beautiful eyes again. Please sweet, for me. Everyone’s waiting for you to wake up” I whispered beside her ear, hoping that she would hear my plea, and wake up.

I was left alone in the room, since both of our friends haven't eaten anything yet, I told them to go down first and to eat something. Now that we were alone I could now clearly see her peaceful face.

Just when I was about to fall asleep, I could feel someone ruffle my hair and spoke

“Waiting for me huh? And yet here you are sleeping. Besides it’s not like I’m going to die, it’s just a cold.” With that, I feel as if all of my energy was back to me, I felt alive again.

I didn’t think she’d have this type of impact in my life. She completes me in every possible way that i didn’t think could happen.

And without any further due, i went to the edge of her hospital bed and reached to hug her tightly, she accepted it whole-heartedly, and we just cuddled like that for a few minutes till i let go and noticed that she was back asleep again. I just smiled and laid her back down to sleep, when i was about to sit to the chair beside the bed, she wouldn't remove her hand from mine and so i just sat by her bed.

Few minutes later, our friends came back to the room, and I told them that she was now awake, but fell asleep again. When I told them that, her friend, Dianna almost wanted to murder me for not calling them immideintly when she woke up. I knew I was wrong for not telling them sooner but I wanted to have some alone time with my Hazel, besides she fell asleep just after we cuddled, which lasted for somewhat just 2-3 minutes.

Guess she’s still tired, she fell asleep quickly. After all she still needs to rest.

Afternoon soon became night and our friends have already left, I told them that I would stay for the night to take care of her. Zel’s food would be coming from the hospital, since she needed to eat food without oil.

So I went down to the hospitals’ cafeteria to buy myself dinner. When I was nearing Zel’s hospital room I noticed that there were now guards by the door. At first I thought that maybe the hospital sent this guards to protect Zel, after all she is the heiress of the Aragon Empire. But as I got closer I noticed that it wasn't from the hospital, but they were guards from the Aragon Empire, or rather the Aragon Family.

What were they doing here? Or rather who are they?

3rd Persons’ POV

When Adam tried to enter the hospital room the guards stopped him, telling him that Hazel’s family was there, visiting. He tried everything to enter, but his attempts were futile, so he gave up and waited outside.

Meanwhile inside the room…

"How are you my daughter?" Lucy told Hazel who was trying to sit down so that she could eat, but being visited by Lucy she felt like she just wanted to puke at her poor showing of concern

"Still kicking, My witch mother. I still need to handle our company." Hazel said even though she was still tired. To be honest, she didn’t want to deal with her right now, But no the world had other plans for her, and right now Lucy was just adding at the girls’ headache.

"You know Lil sis? I think you deserve that but I'm the one who is really responsible for it." Christian told Hazel, but the answer was so vague.

"Why didn't they give it to you?" Hazel questioned him with her eyebrow raised.

He didn't reply and just stare at her, they were all staring at her.

"Don't talk To My child Like That!" Lucy barked out. If Hazael was younger she would’ve been hurt, but she was used to it now. She was treated as if she wasn’t part of the family after all.

"And don't talk to me like I'm not part of this family." Hazel told them.

They left when they finished talking to her. After they left the room. Adam suddenly came in and asking who they were. She told him that it was her wicked family. He didn't bother to ask another question and put her food beside her. He prepared the food that she should eat. Honestly, she would rather prefer pasta than this.

After 3 days…

Hazel's POV

I told Adam that he needs to go to school, so he did. I stayed here at the hospital. My colds is still not going down. It's been three days when I got a talk from my dearest loving family.

Meanwhile, I don't have anything to do so I got my phone out and started to scroll through it. My eyes squint when I read an article about our company.

The article told that I've been the one who will lead the company's wealth after I fulfill all of my goals. Then the latest news was about my condition. I was about to read it when suddenly I received a call.
