Hazel's POV

"Grandpa! Wake up please, please, I'm begging you, wake up." I said crying heavily beside his bed, while he lay there in his bed, eyes closed.

Flashback 3 hrs before...

"Bri answer the damn phone will you?" I shouted from my room.

"But I'm at the bathroom Zelly!" Fine I'll answer it.

It was a number neither of us knew but I still answered the call.

"Hello?"

"..." there was a few moments of silence than a person spoke.

"Hello? Is this Ms. Hazel Ferline Aragon? This is Nurse Kim from St. Luke's Medical Center BGC, I'm calling for Mr. —-, We sadly inform you that Mr.—- got into a car accident and is now confined in this hospital, we hope that you may come here as soon as possible, for you are Mr.—'s emergency contact.

I froze on the spot and dropped the phone in shock when suddenly Bri comes out from the bathroom.

"Zel, what's the problem? Did something happen? You look like you've seen a ghost"

I didn't bother to speak. I ran straight to the garage. Went inside my car and was about to go when Bri was suddenly in front of my car. I take a full stop, she walked towards the passenger seat and hopped inside.

"I'm coming with you and I don't care if you don't want me to, but I'm your friend and I'm here to support you"

And with that I didn't bother to answer her and drove fast to the hospital.

Sabrianne's POV

That was the first time that I saw her became so worried after she received the call. I've never seen her that way before. As she ran towards the garage, I knew something had happened. She was rushing and she never rushes since she always take her sweet time, but now she as driving faster than she usually does.

I didn't bother to ask her what's going on, I only found out that we're in a hospital. Soon I found myself in front of the information with Zel shouting to the nurse for her Grandfather's room. And with that did i knew something must've happened to her grandfather, her was the only person who actually cared for her and now he's here at the hospital.

3rd Person's View

When Hazel knew what room her grandfather was she began running and shoving people out of the way with Sabrianne behind her profusely saying sorry to the people being shoved by Hazel.

When they reached the room Hazel ran inside while Sabrianne stayed behind, inside Hazel saw how bad the condition of his grandfather was. Seeing him in that condition broke her and led her to tears.

End of Flashback...

Hazel's POV

Present Time..

"Grandpa! Wake up please, please, I'm begging you, wake up." I said holding his hands and crying heavily beside his bed, while he lay there in his bed, eyes closed.

I feel like a piece of me was slowly crumbling down while waiting for him to wake up. It's been around 2 hours since I was here, I already sent Bri home while I stayed here at the hospital.

As the time pass by I was slowly losing hope of him to wake up until I felt his response through the movement of his index finger. Then with no time to waste, I called the nurse and they check immediately his vital signs. They left when they already make sure that they're done checking things on him. He is now half awake. I hold his hand. He muttered words,

"Zeline..." He muttered dryly. I know he's having a hard time to speak.

"Yes, papa? How are you?"

"My time is getting shorter and shorter. I'll retire soon in our company, I want to announce a very important thing in a board meeting. I expect you to come."

"I will. I promise, Stop thinking for the company for once and just focus on your health. Alright?"

He just nodded at me, and close his eyes, his bodyguards and maids are here to take care of him that's why I went home.

It was midnight and I still couldn't stop thinking about why he asked me to join in the board meeting. Well, they didn't give me anything nor shares in the company that's why i kept thinking about it.

I lay down to my bed and stare into the blank ceiling until I fell out of sleep.

The next day...

It was early in the morning when I went to the hospital to visit grandpa. While driving there I receive a call from my brother, Christopher.

>Christopher Calling<

>What do you need?< I answered arrogantly.

>How's your new apartment? You didn't even bother to bid us goodbye, little sis.< Oh please they weren't even looking at me and now he wanted to know

>Then, bye.< note the sarcasm

>Hazel Ended the call<

I continue driving until I've reached the hospital. I went straight ahead to papa's room and notice that all of the bodyguards and maids are standing outside of the room.

"Why are you out here? Shouldn't you be inside, you should take care of Papa." I asked them.

"Master sent us outside to have a personal conversation with your family." One of the bodyguard explained.

Oh, damn, they're here.

I enter the room and it gives me chills when I felt the aura inside the room.

"Hi Fam, Goodmorning!" I greeted with a bit of sarcasm.

"Hey Lil sis." my older brother replied, Niel or Neil Brian.

"Brother." geez that sounded so foreign to me.

By the gaze of my so called mother. I knew something was wrong and that spelled as disaster. Papa looked happy to see me and he just smiled at me and motioned me to go next him. When i reached beside him 'mother' looked like she could kill me with her eyes.

"Ah my precious Zeline, I'm glad you came to visit me. Your parents were just about to leave, weren't you Lucy? We shall continue this talk when I get back to the company, do you understand?" Papa told 'mother' with an authoritative tone.

And with that they left, and I was left with papa.

"So Zeline what do you think about stepping up into the company?" He asked with a wide smile.

"What?!"
