I Wish You Were There (Part 2)

Okay, first of all, I want to apologize for this being late. I had this finished before Ramzan but wasn't happy with it so didn't publish. Didn't get time in Ramzan at all as it is a busy month for me plus I had exams as well so hence the lateness. 

So now onto part two. As I said before this is Mature so read at your own risk. hopefully not too much but Mature enough. Timeline is still the ITA night. Credit to owner for the picture.

It's just Naihal, Aniruddha, Jennifer and Harshad. The small celebration had died down a while ago and now they were just relaxing and listening to music. Harshad and Aniruddha were in a deep conversation, most probably about Bepannaah, and Jennifer can't help but stare at him. The way Harshad talks about his craft with passion makes her love him even more.

It's getting late and Jennifer thinks they should go home mostly because Harshad's not used to staying out this late. Another reason was that she simply wanted to cuddle with him, and maybe do some other things, Jennifer thought wickedly.

"Chalo, I think humein chalna chahiye," she lets out.

"Yeah, it's quite late. You guys made me into a night owl." Harshad jokes.

"But it's all for the best, hun," Naihal adds.

"And you know it's only for you babe," Harshad jokingly says while hugging Naihal.

The bond that Harshad has created with Nailhal amazes Jennifer. Naihal is one of her closest friends and she loves that Harshad is close to her too and gets along with her so well. Not that he didn't get along with her other friends, but Harshad was a little reclusive and shy and it takes him a while to open up to people. Working with Aniruddha before might have helped a little, but Naihal is such a free spirited person that she can make anyone feel at ease. It's really nice to just see them together like this.

"Only for Naihal huh? Hands off my girlfriend buddy, Naihal is mine only," Jennifer quips and pushes Harshad out if the way to hug Naihal and they all burst out laughing. They hug each other goodbye and head out to go home.

She's already freshened up and is in her white sleeping shorts and a tank top. She is about to get into bed when Harshad walks in the room. He goes to her and gives a kiss on her forehead.

"I'm going to go change and then I'll be right out okay?"

Jennifer nods, "I'll be waiting." She gives him a quick peck before he goes to freshen up. He already has some of his clothes at her place since he has stayed over many times and it's just easier to keep his clothes there rather than to keep going back and forth from his place to hers. They have more privacy here as opposed to her staying with him at his house, but when they're at his place it's sometimes more peaceful. It involves more snuggling and cuddling together. It also gives her more chance to spend some time with his dad who she adores, and have a bit of girl time with Harsha as well.

Harsha and Jennifer have sort of created a different kind of bond. It's subtle where they are able to understand what the other wants without communication. They both know that they will be there for each other no matter what happens between Harshad and her. That's why Jennifer was immensely happy when Harsha declined Harshad's offer to take her home. Jennifer is definitely going to treat Harsha for that later.

Jennifer didn't know why but she felt like she hadn't spent enough time with Harshad. And even though she wanted Harshad really badly when they were at Naihal's, at this moment, she just wants to curl up in his arms and relax. He gives her the much-needed relief. She loves just laying with him, with her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat. It soothes her jittery nerves because sometimes all this feels like a dream and she's afraid that she'll wake up and he won't be there. At times it seems like he is too good for her. That maybe one day he might realize it and she may lose him. Trying to get out of her dark thoughts, she grabs a book for the time being and gets into bed.
