"I thought we agreed that you wouldn't beat her up" Roman said, looking down at me disapprovingly. I nodded.

"We did."

"Then why did you slap her?"

He crossed his arms and looked down at me.

Why the fuck do they all have to be taller than me?

It's so unfair. They're over here, towering over me like fucking giants and I'm over here, looking up at them like a midget.

"We agreed that I wouldn't beat her up. We never said anything about slapping her" I said, smirking when he didn't respond.

The bitch's boyfriend, Max had rushed over and started comforting his girlfriend who was crying stupid, pathetic tears.

Serves her right.

She can talk shit but she can't do shit.

Pitiful.

Suddenly, Max whirled around and said, "Why the fuck did you just hit my girlfriend?"

I blinked in disbelief. Out of everything that just happened, the only thing he noticed was me slapping his girlfriend.

Completely ignoring the fact that she called me a dumb hoe, a bitch and all kinds of other names.

"Out of everything that just happened, the only thing you noticed was me slapping that bitch" I said, incredulously.

"I'll ask you again. Why the fuck did you hit my girlfriend?"

"And here's an answer: You're fired."

"W-what?"

"YOU'RE FIRED!"

He stumbled back in shock, letting go of his girlfriend.

"W-wait Please. Y-you can't...y-you can't do this to me. I-"

"Yes, I can. Watch me. SECURITY!"

Roman and Jack walked over and escorted them out of the building. I took a deep breath before turning around and facing the group. Ignoring their shocked expressions, I walked towards the rest of the construction group who were staring at me in fear.

"Who's the next person in charge?"

"I-I am, m-m-ma'am " a male voice stuttered, before a man shuffled forward. He had glasses and he was hunched over, looking at his feet. He reminded me of Caspian before he became confident and sexy.

"And your name ...?"

"M-M-Marvin"

"Okay, Marvin, do you think you can handle leading this team and getting the job done, quickly."

"I-I think so."

"Don't  think. Know. Say it. I know so.

"I-I know so."

"No stuttering."

"I know so" he said, in a confident and firm voice, squaring his back and raising his chin.

"Great, now get started. It should only take you about 15 minutes. "

He nodded and turned around, the rest of his team following behind him.

"Lighting check. Is it working?" I asked the men who were standing on ladders and changing the light bulbs. The men put on specialized glasses before the signaled to somebody and the lights turned on. He gave me a thumbs up before someone walked up to me and handed me a microphone. It was one of those that had batteries. I turned it on and tapped it before saying, "Sound check. Is this one?" I got a thumbs up in return and handed it to the girl with an earpiece on. I glanced over at the people who were building the runway and saw that they were halfway done. There was nothing to be done since we were just waiting for them to finish building so I decided to go hang out with my fiance.
