<Mom's announcement...>

Ashley's POV

It's 6:00 in evening we are getting ready for dinner.I'm also clueless why are we so much prepared for dinner tonight..yes,we always take our dinner everynight but not this prepared and not as many food as this...

"Mom,what is the occasion?why are we so much prepared for tonight's dinner?"I ask mom,my mind is full of curiosity.

"It's a surprise.."mom reply,I'm just going to open my mouth to say something again but mom give me a 'it's a surprise,stop asking' look..even I wanna know what's going on I stop asking..

[7:46pm]

Our house gate-dorbell rung.I decided to look who it is.I get out to our house and went to the gate.Its Lance.

"Hey Lance,c'mon! Dinner is getting prepared.."I say happily

"Okay Ashley"he said while nodding his head at me.He follow me entering our house.

"Oh,Lance! You came..thank you for accepting my offer and joining us tonight for our dinner.."mom said

"No Tita,thank you for inviting me and letting me join your family dinner."Lance reply,he smiles.Mom smiles back at him also.

After preparing food–—I mean many foods,I sit next to mom while on her other side is Kuya Vince and on my side is Karl and next to Karl is Lance.I pick fried chicken,Italian Style Spaghetti and egg sandwich with fruit juice.Their still 3 recipes left that I didn't put on my plate because I don't want my tummy to be over-full..

"So,what is this dinner about mom?"Kuya Vince ask mom.Mom look at him and say

"I think it's time for all of you to know.."Mom said

"What is it mom?"I also asks.

"Umm,excuse me to all of you..I need to go to the comfort room...I'll be right back.."Lance said.

"Okay Lance"mom reply to him and he left.

"Okay...Your Lola and Lolo called me last Thursday night when I was fixing my hair..they say that they miss you so much and your Tita Mae,my sister,needs a business buddy to her baking business.."Mom explain to us.

"So..this means that.."Kuya Vince said.

"Yes,we are going back to Parañaque..we're going back to Philippines.."mom reply.My emotions are mixed up..

I'm feeling happiness and sadness..happy because I'm going to saw my childhood friends and our other relatives..sad because I'm going to left behind my friends here in Australia especially..Lance..

Like me,Kuya Vince emotions are mixed up too..I can feel it,I can see it in his eyes.His happy because he's going to see our relatives in the Philippines while he's also sad cause he's going to left behind ate Shanice...his girlfriend..

Karl is still normal..he don't have a friends in Philippines because when we moved here in Australia he's just 2 years old while I'm 6 and Kuya Vince is 8...

"When are we going back mommy?"Karl asks mom.

"Tommorow night at 6:00pm sweetie"mom reply

"Can you excuse me for a minute?"I ask them and they just nodded and smile,I smile back but I give them a sad smile..I try to hide my sadness but I can't.I went to comfort room to talk to Lance,he's near on comfort room's door.

"What are you doing here Ashley?are you done talking to each other?"he asks but still smiling.

Don't cry,don't cry Ashley.I try my best not to cry but I can't.My tears slowly drop from my eyes.

"Why are you crying?what happened?answer me Ashley please..I'm so confused.."he said

"We are *sob* going back to *sob* Philippines tommorow *sob* night.."I say between my cries..

"Sssh,stop crying..you're just going to back here in Australia.."Lance said

"But what *sob* if we don't?I'm going *sob* to miss *sob* you so much bestfriend.."I said

He hugged me tightly.

"I'm going to miss you so much too bestfriend,and if you don't going to visit or back here in Philippines..Then I'll go their,I'll go to Philippines.."he said,lifting my head and wiping tears that fall from my eyes.

"Pro-- *sob* Promise?"I ask,still crying.

"I promise.."he said and hug me more tightly.

"Stop crying Ashley.."he said again

"Cheer up! Smile..show me the full of positivity Ashley side!"he said,I smile

"Good,you look beautiful.."he said that make me smile even more..

He suddenly hold my hands,it feels like electricity is running in my inside

"I promise that I'll visit you in Philippines if you'll not going to visit or be back here in Australia..just promise that you'll not going to be sad and you'll protect and take care of yourself..okay?"he says.

"Yes..I promise."I said and smile genuinely..he also smile back at me genuinely...

I hugged him and he hugged me back.

[8:52pm]

After Lance bid goodbyes to us,I bid Kuya Vince,Mom and Karl goodnight and they bid me back before I go upstairs and enter my bedroom.

I do my night routine and lay down in my bed..I breath deeply.

I hope tommorow is great..

PS:
Si 'Tita Mae' na tinutukoy ko sa parteng ito ay bahagi lamang ng aking imahinasyon at hindi totoo.
