Alston's POV
I was starting to walk home when I saw Naomi walking pass our school's gate alone. I decided to join her.
"Hey strawberry."
"Why do you call me strawberry alston?!!"
"Cause you look like a strawberry earlier haha"
"Thats not funny."
"By the way naomi, you coming home already?"
"Yeah. Mom and dad went somewhere and were not allowed to go somewhere for now. Im supposed to go to dutch with cambry but... im not allowed lmao"
"Aww thats sad. So you walking alone?"
" yea obviously"
"Lets walk home together. Its not safe for you especially youre a girl and its near evening."
"Thanks for your concern alston but are you sure you want to walk with me?"
"Yeah."
I walked her home because its not safe for a girl like her.
When we were infront of her house, she thanked me again and again. She's so sweet and kind that makes my heart flutter. But she's just a friend of mine. I wonder why does it make my heart flutter everytime i see her. That's why i said my mom is probably looking for me even though my mom doesn't so that i can stop my heart from fluttering.
When i reached our house, i wonder wat she's doing. I grabbed my phone and started to text her: "hey whats up?"
Wait... should i send it?
No. Thats too awkward.
Well, nevermind.
I ate dinner then changed my clothes.
We also are going to walk together tomorrow. Yeeeeettt
Okay goodnight. Im sleeping already.

Next day

Naomi's POV
I woke up early in the morning.
Took shower, put on clothes. Brushed my teeth.
Combed my hair.
Curled my lashes then put clear mascara.
I brushed my brows a bit.
Put on some power then lip balm.
I peeked on the window to see if alston is there. But he doesn't so i guess i still have time.
"Hey naomi! Hurry!" Ethan yelled.
"Okay im coming!"
I put on some vans then grabbed my backpack.
Cant forget my phone and airpods.
Turned off the lights then closed the door.
I went down the stairs and my siblings were waiting for me.
I inspected the house if there is any lights on and plugs on the wall.
When done, we locked the door then ethan has the other key for our house.
We started walking.
I almost forgot about alston omg.
When we were 2 blocks away from home. Alston appeared.
"Oh alston!" -me
"Hey alston suppp!!" -ethan
sab remained silent and kept walking forward.
"Im fine. How abt yall?"- alston
"We're fine. Want to got o school with us?" -ethan
"Yea sure." Alston said then putting his left hand around me.

Naomi's POV

We dropped sab first at her elementary school then ethan. His highschool is a few blocks away.  While alston and I's middle school is still quite far.
So now, we are alone together lolol.
My heart is beating so crazy.

While walking, we walked pass by a group of boys. I think they are juniors. They look like they are.
They kept looking at me differently.
Alston felt that I am uncomfortable  then he asked why.
I didn't reply anything.
When he noticed at the group of boys looking at me,
He held my hand tightly and got closer to me to pretend that were together.
OMGGGGG OMGGGGG MY HEART IS GOING TO EXPLOOOOOOOOOODDEEEEEE.
I rode with his plan and smile.
Lmao that smile is not fake.

We remained to be like that until we got far from the boys.

We are getting close to our school so he removed his hand from mine.
"Hey naomi are you okay?"
"Yeah im fine."
"Tell me, do you experience the same thing when you walk to school alone?"
"Uhh sometimes. But when I plan to wear shorts, I asked my parents to take me to school. But you don't need to worry i can take care of my self"
"No you can't."
"Have you seen me cry? No right?"
"I wonder if you cry when im not around. And yes. I haven't seen to cry but you're still a girl. And there will still be boys who will do the same as they did to you earlier."
"There's nothing to worry. And why are you so protective to me lately?"
"Am I?  I just need to do what real men do."
"Nahh forget aboutthat alston. Were at school now. See ya later."
"Okayy be safe."
"Alston we're inside the campus there's nothing to be warned about. Also thank you for earlier."
"Fine. But lets get home together"
