I get into Harry's car feeling worn and exhausted, the first day seeming to take it's toll as I feel the need to close my eyes and fall asleep.

"Babe, I've got to tell you the funniest thing." Harry starts as he begins driving. Being him, I wonder if this will even remotely make me want to laugh, but tell him to go ahead anyway. "Today they had to take full body shots to send in and everything, and the guy asked me how I had so many small bruises on my chest."

"Oh my god," I say out of embarrassment, remembering the love bites I gave him just a few nights ago. "Did he realize what they were?"

"No, I don't think so. All he did was tell his assistant that they would have to photo shop them," he says before laughing, and I join him.

"What are we going to have for dinner? I'm starving."

Today Elliott barely let me have fifteen minutes for a lunch break, spending almost all of the eight hours at the hospital on my feet. It was definitely a learning experience, and I was able to realize at the end that I am going to love being a pediatrician, even with the cons that come along with it.

"Probably will just pick up pizza, but first tell me how it was." Harry grins, seeming extremely excited. "Actually, tell me what the highlight of your day was, then tell me the worst part."

"The highlight would have to be when we were able to tell a little girl that she was finally able to go home after being in the hospital for almost a year battling cancer." I smile, remembering how giddy the small child was to be able to see her dog after such a long time, and of course be back at home with her family as well, but mostly about the dog. "The worst part was when we had to give a consultation to parents on how their son's chemo treatment would effect him, and they ended up crying almost the entire time while listening."

"Well, do you think you made the right decision changing your major?" He asks nervously, probably wondering if the past few years have been a waste.

"Of course, I've always wanted to help people and this feels like the right place for me to, you know?"

"You're an amazing woman Leah Hudson, don't you ever forget that." He says and I immediately blush.

"You helped me get here." I say and he shakes his head, but doesn't try to argue me.

Harry reaches across the console before lacing our hands together, both of them resting peacefully on my lap as we drove through the night with just one another and not much need for anything else.

Augustus pounces on us as we walk across the threshold, barking happily as we make it to the kitchen with the pizza we just picked up. I scoop him up into my arms, luckily him still being a reasonable size to hold, but he ends up squirming so I put him back on the ground.

Harry gets two plates and puts one slice of the large pepporoni and mushroom pizza onto it. I thank him before taking my share, deciding to sit in the living room. Harry joins me, turning on the television before sitting next to me on the couch. I turn horizontal, resting me legs on his lap and put a pillow behind my back for support.

"Exscuse me, I don't want your stinky feet near my food," he teases, smelling them before making a disgusted face.

"If you love me then you can deal with it," I say before biting into my slice of pizza, watching as he groans before giving in and starts eating as well.

"So, have you made friends with your coworkers yet?" Harry asks when commercials come on.

"Maybe, I was shadowing a doctor named Elliott, so he's practically the only person I talked to all day."
