"mackenzie, could you grab me some coolwhip" nadia asked mackenzie while putting a bag of chocolate chips in her shopping cart. "yeah sure" she replied.
kenzie walked off to the isle where the whip cream was at. she walked through looking at all of the products. she sighed. "can i help?" a voice behind her stated.
when she turned around she saw a face she hadn't seen in a while. "william?" she smiled "hey! how are you!" kenzie exclaimed and walked up to give him a hug.
"i'm fine how about you?" he asked. "i'm actually pretty good, where are u heading?" she asked. "oh um, i'm just picking up some last minute groceries for the dinner at uh.. harvey's" he slowly said.
"oh.. i'm actually going to that too" kenzie spoke and williams face lit up. "wait you are? okay great i was worried i might startle you" he said and scratched his neck. kenzie chuckled lightly "no worries, i just didn't know you were going too"
"oh well i am kinda dating lauren? i suppose you wouldn't know because—" he stopped mid-sentence "well you know why.." he smiled "yes i know, its fine though i am happy for you guys"
"hey william?" kenzie began "yes?" she looked up at the coolwhip standing on the shelf above her. "could you maybe grab that for me? i can't reach.." he laughed "sure mackenzie" he stated and reached for a can.
he handed it to her and she smiled "thanks, see you at harvey's?" she asked and he nodded "sure thing"

mackenzie sat in the back of nadia's car, letter on her lap. she stared at it untill faith sighed laudly. "mackenzie just read the letter, you said so yourself it isn't johnny's handwriting so i bet it isn't even from him" she spoke.
"it is not from johnny" nadia said while looking in her mirror at kenzie. "just read it.."
kenzie opened up the letter and started reading what was written on the paper.
dear mackenzie,
how are you? i haven't talked to you in a long while, when i tried calling you it said you had changed your number.. i started thinking and realized that was probably because of johnny trying to reach out to you after the break-up.
i just wanted to say i'm sorry. i never meant for you and johnny to split.
when we heard hayden got hurt i just freaked out and i couldn't take LA anymore.
i genuinly just wanted to go home and be with the gang because i missed them.
i try not to worry about you and how you're doing but it's just we haven't talked
to you in so long, not even lexi dylan and annie and we miss you.
i keep asking myself if you are going to come back. i know you are in college now,
but we just need you back here so bad it's driving me insane. johnny isn't doing too good either. he keeps drinking and smoking and avoiding harvey, it hurts.
i don't have you here with me but i at least i have the memories.

at the end of the letter kenzie smiled. "when did she write this?.." she asked nadia who looked back in her mirror.
"she wrote it a few days ago, she knew you were coming but she wanted to let you know how she felt before she saw you again" nadia spoke and smiled crookedly.
"well, it's nice to know the way she felt" kenzie murmered. "faith i think you would really like her if you got to know her" faith smiled and nodded "i hope so"
mackenzie her phoned buzzed and she picked it up to look at the screen
harvey : hey kenzie
harvey : johnny just arrived. i haven't told him about you being there too so i just wanted to let u know it might be a shock for him..
harvey : anyways see you in a bit
— thanks harv, see u
she texted him back and put her phone down. "here we go" she sighed
