I turned to look at the door which was banged and as I expected, my half sister Asma'u. I was Just a year older than her and she boss me around with the help of her mother. She looked at me up to toe and turned to look at my mother who has just started sleeping as she spent most of the night having her usual waterworks (crying). I just don't want her to disturb my mother and if I tried to stop her,it will surely become a big fight and I know she came here to look for trouble as she always do. I kept looking at her as she came closer to my mother, I had to plead for her to just leave my mother at peace.
" For God sake it's just 3:00 in the morning just let her be I will do all the house chores" I said and as I always know the answer " no way your stupid mother will be lying comfortably and be sleeping while my lovely mother is also sleeping,she has to wake up" she said with out even looking at me. I kept my mouth open and keep staring at her did I hear her well although she always insult my mother" my stupid mother , if my mother is stupid then I think her mother is an animal" I thought in my mind not saying it out loud. I looked up at her only to see her leg on my mother's face saying " hey Fatima, Fatima wake up you're already late for your house chores " as she always called my mother with her name.
