The Birds had exited the mountainous desert and came to the flat countryside where the found the first golden egg. Jack was about to point out the Trial of Ten Thousand Blades, but all that brought was memories of Red and what they had lost. The countryside was easy to cross, and Jim tried to lighten up the mood a bit.
"What do you call an animal with nine eyes, three arms, and six legs?" Jim asked.
"Ugh." Jack groaned. "It is a pretty good description of you." Jack answered.
"No, It's ugly!"
"What's the difference?" Jay replied. The three laughed for the first time in months.
