The Rippers charged across the horizon like a ripple of water, strange weapons slung across their backs. Immediately Jack saw the barrel of a Ripper's gun... Pointing towards the SPIDERS! Their weapons were enough to distract them while the Travellers finished them off. Jack asked one of them why they were doing this. One with a scar and some form of assault rifle on his back replied "Travelers are pretty bad, but SPIDERS aren't good for anyone". Yet something was happening to the Travelers. They were growing thinner and thinner each time they used their powers! Soon enough, some of them were collapsing! Jim and Jay were worried about Jack, who wasn't looking too good either. His feathers were strewn about him, and his face looked... older.
"Jack, are you ok?" Jay asked while avoiding some attacks by a nearby SPIDER.
"I don't know. Using my powers is a huge strain. If I keep going like this, I don't think I will make it..."
"Jack, you should try to-" Jim was cut off by a sudden sound in the distance. A loud rumbling could be heard as something was happening to the SPIDERS! They were retreating! But the Birds and Pigs could clearly see that that was not the case. Instead, the SPIDERS were going to a central point. At first, Jim thought that they were going into a formation in the shape of a giant SPIDER. But it wasn't just a formation. The SPIDER released a giant blast from it's eye, destroying half of the frontline, scattering bits of people and equipment all over the battlefield. Jack, Jay, Jim, and everyone there knew that one more blast would sent them into the sweet embrace of endless oblivion. They all knew it was all over. Everyone was ready to say goodbye, everyone except for Jack.
