I never thought life could be so crazy. that is until I met someone who changed my perspective of life completely. My name is Marcie Anne and this is the story of how my life changed forever in just one day.I am from Boston and I live in a small town called flownersville. I am 18 and I have brown eyes, brown hair, and I consider myself a very average person. I have a boyfriend, Jacob who's in college, I'm still a 12th grader in high school. And I know what your thinking, how did you, an 'average' high school girl score a boyfriend in college? Well he actually came up to me and asked me. I don't know why, but it happened, and we've been going out for months now.
I also have a little brother named Marco who is 10 and goes to Flownersville middle. He's the average annoying little brother.
It all started on Monday, everything started off normal. I woke up, got dressed, brushed my teeth, ate breakfast, and then drove to school. Again. I'd like to seem like the average person, I have the average amount of friends, 3 to be exact, Darla, Avery, and Casey. I have the average grades for a high schooler, A's, B's and occasional C's. I like the thought of being average, not being too popular but also not being too left in the dark either.
As I was making my way up to the schools front entrance, I caught up with one of my friends, my bestfriend out of all of my friends, Darla. We've been friends since 2nd grade nothing could break our strong bond. Or so I thought.
"So have you heard!?" Darla asked in an excited voice. As we eased our way up to the entrance, opening the big wide glass doors and walking in.
"Heard what?" I asked curious as to what she was so excited about.
"About the new guy! He's coming today!" She exclaimed, now stopping in front of both of our lockers. We had lockers by each other because that's the average bestfriend thing.
"Wait what!? What new guy?" I said in a shocked voice, how come I didn't know about this. "Is he in our class?"
"Yup!" Darla said pulling her books out of her locker and slamming it shut. "People say he's hot. Like Joe Keery hot, but hotter."
"So people have already seen him?" I said nervous as to who this mystery new student could be.
"Yup!" Darla said as she turned the corner. "I've got to go before I'm late to homeroom for the second time this week. Bye Marcie."
"Bye." I said slightly waving at her as she walked away.
I was excited but nervous at the same time, we never really got new students at flownersville high, Let alone ones that were considered hot. I guess I'm just nervous that things won't be so average around here, since all the attention will be focused on the new guy, whoever he may be.

"Ok, so do you think that he's like from a foreign country or something?" Darla asked as she eagerly darted her eyes back and forth from the school entrance to me as she waited for the new guy to show.I heard some of the things she said, but didn't reply. I was in full thought thinking about what this new guy is going to think of our small school. What if he's rich and doesn't like small public schools. What if he doesn't feel welcome. What if he's a douche who thinks he's better then everyone?
"Marcie? Marcie!? MARCIE!?" Darla shouted getting louder each time.
"Huh!? Oh um sorry, did you call me?"
"Yes! Like 3 times." Darla exclaimed, now getting frustrated with me.
"I'm sorry Darla, I was just thinking about things and-" I started before Darla interrupted me
"OMG!! LOOK MARCIE! THERE HE IS!" Darla exclaimed almost running over to him before I pulled her back down.
"Calm down, he hasn't even walked through the doors yet. Let's give him a chance before attacking him." I said trying to get Darla to calm down. It obviously wasn't working because as soon as he walked through the doors she rushed to him along with a few other girls who were eager to see him.
Soon enough he had a crowd formed around him, praising him. I could barely get a glimpse of what he looked like. I tried jumping up and down to see over the crowd but it was just no use.
But just as I was about to give up and turn around to go to my locker, a hand touched my shoulder. I turned around to see a very handsome boy looking directly at me. He had mysterious dark brown eyes, messy hair and full lips that looked soft and smooth. He wore a black leather jacket with a black shirt and black jeans.
All black what was he hiding? Only people who are hiding something wear all black, I thought to myself.
"Hi. Are you Marcie? He asked with a slight smirk tugging at his lips.
"Yes, and you are?" I asked, genuinely curious.
"I'm Brendon, the new transfer student from Vegas." He said now slicking his messy hair back with his hands.
"O-oh." I said nervously. He was staring dead into my eyes now. Like he wanted something from me.
"The lady in the front office told me you were the one who was supposed to give me a tour, so can we get to it doll?"
I signed up for that student body touring thing in freshman year, only because I knew that people rarely transferred here, I didn't think I would actually have to do anything.
"Um, ok follow me then." I said trying to hide the fact that my heart is beating out of my chest right now. He looked like the average bad boy you would see in a movie. This certainly wasn't average though. Not the average I was used to at least. What the hell have I gotten myself into?
