chapter 5: Too may questions

•Emily's POV•

I started making silly things to make him smile.

Payton: can I do something?

Emily: yeah

He goes close to me and kisses me. Both of us blush a lot but I feel kinda awkward so I say;

Emily: now that I know that you are okay... I need to go home.

Payton: but you just came. I'm sorry I made you feel awkward, I shouldn't have kissed you but I couldn't control myself.

You kiss him on the cheek.

Emily: it's not your fault. My mom is working again tonight so I need to take care of my sister. I'll be home alone with her and I promised her that we will make a movie marathon. Do you want to come? You could sleep over. My parents loves you so they won't care.

Payton: sure.

He washes his face and packs some pjs.
He goes downstairs with me and tells his mom that he is sleeping over at my place. Joanne is really happy because Payton isn't sad anymore. Payton goes outside and Joanne calls me back. I go next to her and she asks what was up with Payton. I tell her that I don't know,he didn't want to talk so I just kept on annoying him and making him laugh and now he is finally better. I hugged her and I left too. On the way Payton made me laugh a lot but then he started getting curious about Jace.

Payton: what's about Jace when we left he stayed. What happened.

Emily: nothing, I started worrying about you so I sent him home. Nothing happened.

Payton: how long are you two being friends?

Emily: we have been friends since all my life. Our parents are like bffs too and Jace is older than me by like 10 months... we know each other since the day I birth.

Payton: damn and do you have feelings for him too?

Emily: am I at a police station?

I laugh

Payton: can you just answer please?

Emily:Okay, no I don't have feelings for him. I mean yes I do but not the same feelings as I have for you. He is like my brother. But the today's kiss was so awkward. I would have never kissed him if I wasn't forced.

We got home. Luckily my mom was at home for a few more minutes so you could tell them that Payton is staying over.

She left I made my sister go to take a bath then change into pjs so after the movies she doesn't have to. While I was waiting Payton kept on asking again.

Payton: how is that possible that your mom is okay with boys sleeping over here? Like mostly you stay with boys and she doesn'tsay anything. When I stay with girls Faith and Joanne always starts with the "girlfriend" thing, it's so annoying.

Emily: I don't know. I haven't thought about this before. I mean because me and Jace were bffs since the day I was born she didn't had much choice to do and now she just got used to it.

My sister is ready to watch the movies. I sit down in the middle Payton is on my left side Elena is on my right.

Elena: Emily i'm hungry. 

Emily: ok I'll go cook something.

I go start cooking spaghetti because all of us is hungry.

Elena: Payton, are you my sisters boyfriend?

Payton: no we are just friends.

Elena: she likes you a lot!

She whispered. Payton smiles and looks at me since the kitchen and the living room is together. A little later I finished cooking and I went back to sit down with He food. I gave the kids food.

Emily: hopefully you guys like it because I'm a terrible cook.

Elena: you aren't terrible or at least it's better than moms.

Both of us laugh. We guys ended up choosing The Descendants 1. Payton and I was kinda annoyed during it, Payton stared at me many times. In the middle of the movie Elena fell asleep on me so i told Payton to choose a movie what he wanted to watch. He chose Riverdale since none of us has seen it. At the end of the second episode I fall asleep on his shoulder. He switched off the tv he checked his phone and then he tried to sleep but he couldn't. He got up from the sofa and he sat down by the pool laying his legs inside the water.I woke up and I went after him. I sat down next to him.

Payton: sorry I didn't want to wake you up.

Emily: it's fine. hey, are you all right?

Payton: yeah I just cannot sleep.

I lay my head on his shoulder. He lays his head on mine.

Payton: your sister said something that I can't get out my head.

Emily: what is it?

Payton: nothing it's stupid. Where am I going to sleep?

Emily: you can sleep in my room or on the sofa or in my brothers room. You can choose. Ohh in my bed I have two single bed.

Payton: I'm fine with the sofa.

Emily: sure? Just saying because in my room there's Air conditioner and I could have someone to annoy

I laugh. Payton goes inside the bathroom to shower and change. While I am waiting for him I take Elena to her bed and I go to my room to get changed. Payton comes inside.

Payton: ohh I'm sorry I'll go outside.

Emily: it's ok I just finished.
