Greed. Whatever it was doing to the demon pulling you along, it was possibly still the worst one yet. At least in your eyes, it seemed to affect him worse than the others had, mentally.

But what does he have to be so greedy about?

That was the real question. You heard him growl softly, hearing your thoughts, but for the time being you didn't care.

"Wrath is next. I'm willing to bet your boytoy will show up there, too. I won't be far behind."

"Why are you letting this happen?" you questioned, your voice failing. It couldn't be helped. "He's just going to kill me."

"Not yet he won't. I know how a demon like him thinks. He'll want you in the Sea."

"You said it wouldn't affect me."

"I... I'm not so sure. I've never seen a human in it before." He was lying, of course, but why would he have said as much? That what Dark wanted for you was the worst possible pain that anyone could have imagined?

Anti continued to pull you along, otherwise alone with his thoughts. Ones that he could neither control nor help. His greediness had taken on a form that he wasn't accustomed to, and his hand squeezed tighter on your wrist.

I shouldn't have left her alone. Stupid bitch got caught.

On top of the guard dogs, Wrath's gate was wrapped in black vines, the only plant to be seen for miles. Awful hooked thorns adorned them, and you were almost positive that they were poisonous, as well.

But here, before you could try to walk through the gate, the green-haired demon pulled you back, frowning. "Wait," he spoke softly, his glitching minimal, if at all. He clutched your hand in both of his, and he bore an expression of... shame? "I... I won't..."

He was physically fighting inwardly, wanting to speak the words but at the same time refusing. He was a demon, he shouldn't have been feeling this way. He shouldn't have been feeling anything at all!

Is... he...?

"Anti, we should go." The sooner you got the whole ordeal over with, the better. But he pulled you closer instead, one hand at your cheek, the one that had once suffered a great deal of damage. Your heart began to pick up speed as you realized just what the demon had to be so greedy over. "Are you planning on keeping my soul for yourself?"

Anti smirked. "Is it so obvious?" No, that wasn't quite the right answer, but it was the one he gave you. "I could kill you right now. I should. You're too weak for Hell."

"I've been doing okay so far," you replied quietly.

Stroking your cheek, Anti dropped his free hand behind his back. "Raped and mutilated isn't doing okay, you stupid bitch." God, why were you so fucking stupid? The knife materialized in his hand again, and he clutched it tighter than ever. He needed to be rid of you, once and for all.

Your face burned hot, eyes cast downward. "It wasn't rape."

His eyes searched your face, frowning deep. This wasn't happening. It couldn't. Whipping you around, Anti's smoke surrounded you as he pushed you towards the gate. "Run. Run and do NOT look behind you. I don't fucking care how dark it gets, just keep moving. Do you understand me?"

You didn't.

You ran for as long as your lungs would allow for, but you did have to stop, panting raggedly. You didn't dare look behind you; knowing you were in Wrath, and knowing what sort of damage a demon could have done to you...

But would he? He isn't... he doesn't feel that way towards me, does he?

Did it matter?

You walked on, your heart thudding in your chest, though not entirely due to the exercise. The idea that, after all of this time, Anti would want you dead... hurt you. It hurt to think about, but the thought would not dissipate. Soon enough tears pricked in your eyes, falling before you could stop them.

No, no, I shouldn't be crying over a demon, not like this!

Keep walking. Don't look back. Don't.

But I... I think I...

No!!

You found the strength to run again, though you weren't sure if you were running towards the next circle or from the green-haired demon that was following you. But how closely? Would Wrath enrage him so much that he would catch up to you, torture you to the brink of death?

"How unfortunate. After our little chat, you still managed to regain your mobility?" Your boyfriend spoke, directly behind you. He caught you in his arms, smiling as he pushed a knife to your throat, one that felt warm and very familiar. "I ought to slaughter you, you little cunt. Leaving me for another man and trying to run away from me?"

Why does he have Anti's knife...? Did he...?!

"Please, please don't kill me..." you whispered, your tears now streaming down your cheeks.

"A traitorous woman like you deserves nothing less than the worst pain imaginable." He planted a kiss to your neck, one that felt loving and very, very wrong. "And the thought of you drowning forever in the Sea of Fire delights me, darling. It truly does."

"Wh-why me...?" you asked, worried about what his answer might be.

"Why you? Because you're weak," Dark explained, pressing the blade against your throat a little bit more, though he broke no skin. The other arm had caught your own, pinning it behind your back as he forced you to walk ahead. "I cannot abide by a cheating woman, darling, and I must teach you a lesson that you won't soon forget."

Against your better judgement you began to sob quietly, letting out tiny whimpers of fear every time he would press the knife to your neck.

"Killing you now would serve me no purpose. But don't fear, darling, I've already taken care of everything. Your little demon lover won't be bothering us any longer."
