It was a nice and sunny morning in Moominvalley and Lilyya saw it as the perfect opportunity to plant the seeds Moominmamma gave her.

Putting on her shoes, she walked out of the house, Ketu on her head and the seed packets in hand. Behind the house was a little shed where her Grandpa kept all his tools. Finding the garden rake, a small shovel and a watering can, she went back to the front of the house to start her small garden.

After plowing the ground and using the shovel to make holes for the seeds to go into, Lilyya was now watering the seeds.

"I wonder what these will grow into." Lilyya said to herself.

Ketu made a small roar which made the girl giggle, "I bet you can't wait to eat them." Lilyya said to the dragon. Ketu nodded and flew to the small garden, landing near it, being careful as Lilyya watered it.

"Hello there!"

Turning around, Lilyya saw a man coming up the pathway. She put the watering can down and walked up to the man, Ketu flying to land on Lilyya's head.

"Hello, can I help you?" She asked the man.

"Oh, no. I'm the mailman and I have some mail for this house. Funny though, the last time I delivered mail here there was an older man who received it." The mailman said.

"Oh, that was my Grandpa. I'm his granddaughter and I just moved here. It's nice to meet you." Lilyya said, smiling as she received the mail.

"Well then, always nice to see new faces in Moominvalley. Hope you enjoy. Have a good day now." He said, waving goodbye to continue his deliveries.

Lilyya waved back and looked at the letters she received. Some of them were for her Grandpa but she noticed that two were for her, one from her Grandpa and one from her Mother.

"A letter from mother? She's probably wondering if I'm adjusting well." Lilyya said to herself. "Let's read them inside."

Pocketing the letters, she went back to the small garden and finished watering the seeds. Once she was done, she put the tools in the shed and went inside the house to read her letters. She made herself some tea and cut up some apples for Ketu, placing the plate on the table and sitting down. Ketu jumped off her head and started eating the fruit. Smiling at her little friend's enjoyment, she opened the letter from her Grandpa first:

Dear Lilyya,

How are you enjoying Moominvalley so far? I'm writing this letter just as spring is rising. Seeing the flowers open up once spring is here, it makes you feel like the Earth is saying hello to you.

Lilyya laughed as she read the letter and took a sip of her tea.

Have you met the Moomins yet? During the winter they hibernate so they should be wide awake and moving by now. Moominpappa probably has some new story ideas to write about. He always made the best stories when he comes out of hibernation. If you ever see him, tell him I said hi and ask him to tell you one of his stories, you're sure to love it.

Anyway, I should go back to my adventure. I just wanted to check in and let my granddaughter know that I'm okay and hoping that you're having a good time. I should be back in the Summer. 'Til then, be safe but also have fun.

Love, Grandpa Stik.

Lilyya folded the letter, and placed it on the table, sipping her tea and grabbing the next letter from her Mother. Finishing her tea, she placed the cup down and opened the letter. Before she could unfold it, she heard a knock at the door. This made Ketu perk up from his eating, curious to who it could be. Lilyya placed the letter down and walked to the door. Opening it, she didn't see anyone. Confused, she was about to close the door until...
