After the events of Thingumy and Bob with the Groke, things have calmed down in Moominvalley. Thingumy and Bob decided to stay with the Moomins a bit longer and enjoyed their days of peace without worrying about the Groke coming after them.

A week has gone by since then and Lilyya started to see progress in her garden. Sprouts started to show and this made Lilyya very happy that her garden was coming along nicely. As she was watering her garden, Ketu came from the house and started flying around the garden. This made Lilyya giggle because she knew that Ketu was excited about the garden too.

"I'm sure you can't wait to find out what's growing huh, Ketu?" Lilyya asked Ketu as he settled down on Lilyya's shoulder.

Ketu made a little roar, agreeing with Lilyya.

"Pretty sure you also can't wait to eat them as well," Lilyya said, laughing as she made her way to the shed to put away the gardening tools.

Ketu huffed out smoke from his nostrils, offended by Lilyya's statement.

"In the meantime, let's make us some lunch."

An hour went by and Lilyya and Ketu were relaxing in the living room, Lilyya writing in her journal while Ketu slept near the fireplace. Lilyya was writing about the event with Thingumy and Bob and the whole event with the Groke. As she continued writing about it, she soon made a sketch of Thingumy and Bob's suitcase and drew question marks around it.

'What was it that they stole from the Groke?' Lilyya thought as she tapped her pencil on the drawing. She closed her journal and got up from the couch, stretching out her arms and legs due to sitting down for so long.

"I haven't played my ukulele in a while, maybe I'll play a little tune," she said as she went towards the stairs, journal in hand.

However, when she got to the third step, she heard a knock at the door. Curious, she stepped down from the steps and went towards the door. Opening the door a bit, she peeked out to see who the guest was. Little to say, she was surprised to see who it was at the door.

"Mom!? Dad!? What are you doing here!?"

"What do you mean? We sent you a letter," her mother said.

Lilyya thought for a second but then remembered that she indeed received a letter from her mother but was interrupted before she could even read it.

"That's right. Sorry, I didn't have time to read it...stuff happened." Lilyya said scratching the back of her head.

This made her mother worry.

"What happened? Were you hurt? Did someone try to attack you? Are you ok?"

"Yes, mom I'm fine. Nothing bad ha-"

"Wait a minute, where's my dad?" Her mother asked, referring to Grandpa Stik.

"Oh, he's not here. He's on an adventure," Lilyya said, letting her parents enter the house.

"So, you've been here alone since winter!?" Her mother yelled.

"...yes," Lilyya replied hesitantly.

To this, her mother almost fainted but was caught by her father.

He carried her to the living room and placed her down on the couch.

"Now dear, Stik might not be here but we see that Lilyya is perfectly fine on her own," the girl's father said. "We had nothing to worry about."

"Well...I guess it's a blessing she's safe," her mother said while her father smiled at her.
