I lie on the ground
A fallen leaf
Broken and brown
Remembering when I was hopeful and green
A new bud
Ready to jump from the tree
Or when my colors were warm and bright
Dancing in the air
No inhibitions or fright
I miss the tree, I miss the wind
As I crumble
Just wanting to feel like me again
