"W-Wait - he WHAT?!" Natalie stammers.

"Yeah. His mum is a doctor." I reply. "He saved me a trip to the doctors - hold on."

The hustle and bustle of the school corridor is almost too much for us to handle - especially mid conversation. Grabbing Natalie by the collar, I pull her aside into the girls bathroom where it is silent. Finally I can explain things.

"Weren't you scared he was going to do something awful to you - like kill you?"

"Not really. I was pretty concussed." I reply. "But he was really, really nice to me. He even gave me this to wear on the car ride home."

I pull out the now freshly washed jumper Ezra had given me to wear last Friday.

"Woah." Natalie says. "So do you think he forgives you -"

The conversation comes to a sudden halt as the bathroom doors fly open. Ariel hammer and her snickering goons enter shortly afterwards. As if they own the place, the stride to the sinks and push us aside.

"Careful or she'll break your nose too" Ariel says to one of her little friends.

"I'd be careful if I were you, Ariel. Wilma could break you." Natalie hastily responds.

The bathroom grows silent. Ariel and her goons stare at us as if they've been freeze framed.

"Alright. Go ahead. Break me."

"What?" Natalie stutters.

Ariel struts over to us and leans her massive frame over me. I may be the black belt in this situation but there's just something so intimidating about a girl as tall and cruel as Ariel.

I step back and place my hands against the wall. Ariel takes this as sign of defeat and cackles in response.

"That's what I thought." Ariel snickers.

"Come on, Natalie. Let's go." I sigh.

But before we can, Ariel pulls me back and snatches Ezra's jumper out of my hands. I watch in horror as she flings it over one of the stall doors and into the toilet bowl below.

"Hey!" Natalie screams. Suffused with blood, her face burns red. "You can't do that."

Ignoring her, Ariel leads her goons out of the bathroom and into the hallway. All we can do is watch in silence and shoot daggers into their spines as they do.

"They're just lovely, aren't they."

I give an exasperated sigh before approaching the toilet stall solemnly. Behind me, Natalie stands muttering curses at Ariel. It only takes a couple of seconds to realise what I'm doing and pull me back.

"Ew. Wilma, you can't fish that out of the toilet." She says. "I'm sure he'll understand if you just tell him. Besides I doubt he's going to want to wear it after it's been in there."

I simply shrug. "I guess."

Evil rears it ugly face again.

And by that I mean Ariel hammer is giving me the stink face from across the classroom.

I figure she's bored and is looking for any excuse to pick on me. That or she's jealous that I, Wilma Juraez, am sitting with Bryce Miller, fourth best looking boy in the year.
