"TRE!! Get in here and help your mama cook this food"
"Yes ma'am"
After my encounter with miss Mauri I came over to my moms house to tell her the good news.
"So, how was the interview" she asked while cutting the potatoes
"It went well, great actually" I said with the biggest smile on my face
"What's her name?" she asked with a smirk
"What makes you ask that?"
"Boy, I've been around you for 29 years, I know that smile when I see it. Now, what's her name I anit gon ask again"
"Mauri"
"Well that's pretty, when did you meet her?"
"Today at the interview, she's my boss"
She dropped the knife and looked at me in shock
"Trevante Nemour Rhodes, don't you be getting yourself in trouble now, you just got out this is a big opportunity for you we don't need no repeats"
"Yes ma'am I know, but you anit gotta be daying my government out like that"
"Boy I outta smack you" she says in a playful way while rising her hand
"Alright ma alright" I laughed and gave her a kiss on the cheek
"Go tell your brother it's time to eat" she waved me off
I went upstairs towards my little brothers room
"Wassup little nigga" i dapped him up and sat on the bed
"Wassup big bro when you get here?"
"Not to long ago, mama says food is ready"
"Yeaaaa I'm hungry as fuck yo"
"When are you not hungry Gio?"
"When I'm sleep...come to think of it I be hungry then too"
We laughed at started to head downstairs
We all sat down, mama said grace and we began to eat. Mama made steak, mashed potatoes, with a cesar salad.
After we ate we had little small talk, I helped mama clean up and put the food away
"Ite ma imma head out"
"Bye baby come back soon and bring your little friend too"
"I will ma see ya Gio"
"Bye big bro love you"
"Love y'all too"
I headed towards my car and went straight home

I made it home to see my dumb ass roommate was here

"It was good I got the job"
"Ayyy that's wassup bro good job now yo big head ass can finally help me with rent" he laughed and gave me the finger
"Fuck you bro but aye imma head upstairs im tired as hell"

I gave him the dueces and went to my room
I took my clothes off till I was in my boxers I got into and reached for my phone and decided to text Mauri

Mauri:"and who tf is this"

Mauri:" hey boo, what I tell you about that ma shit"
Me:well according to yo contact you seem like you don't mind
Me:"wyd tomma beautiful"
Mauri:"nothing get ready for my trip"
Me:"let me take you to lunch tomorrow"
Mauri"all I need is a time and a place"
Me:"Portillo's 4:00"
Mauri:"bet I'll see you tomorrow muscles"

I locked my phone and laid down in bed drifting to sleep with her on my mind
