Tre POV
Monday 12:15 pm

I watched as she ate her cesar salad
I licked my lips and sat back in booth on my side
"What" she asked smiling looking up at me
"Nothing just admiring what's mine" I said she blushed and put her head down
"Look at me ma" I reached over and tilted her head to look at me
I stared into her brown eyes and got lost
"Excuse me" someone said
We backed up from one another
"I'm sorry I can come back if need be" the waitress said
"Nah it's not a problem" I said still looking at Mauri
"Ok um will that be all for you guys will you be eating sir?"
"Nah not today"
"Ok well here's the check, I'll be right back" she put the check down and walked away
Mauri started to reach for it
I hurried up and snatched it up
"Da fuck you doing?" I asked with authority in my voice
"I was about to pa-"
"What I tell you Mauri?" "Hm"
"When I'm with you I don't have to pay" she huffed
"Ite then now loose that attitude"
She rolled her eyes and sat back
"All set?" The waitress came back and asked
"Yea" I handed her the check with the cash in it
"Alrighty, you guys have a fine rest of your day" she smiled and walked away for the last time
Mauri got up got her stuff and stormed off

*in the car to Tre's house*
Mauri' POV

"Baby girl"
"Baby girl"
"Ma" he gripped my thigh while still looking at the road
"Yes Trevante"
"You mad at me?"
"Nope" i said popping the p
"Yes you are, talk to me baby girl" he said looking at me then the road
"You don't need to pay for everything I do Tre when I say I got it I got it"
"I understand that, but my mamma raised me to respect a woman any shape or form and me paying for your dinner is me doing just that"
"And I appreciate that but let me handle it once in awhile?"
He pulled up to his place and shifted to look at me
"Look I'll let you pay the next time we go out"
"It'll be lets say 60/40 ite?"
I rolled my eyes and reached for the door handle
"Aye" he grabbed my arm
"Let me go Tre" I looked at him
He let go of my arm and grabbed my neck
"Lose the fucking attitude before we have some issues"
"Yes daddy" I looked down
"Look at me" he snapped
"Now when we get in this house we gon have a peaceful night ite?"
I nodded
"Huh? I can't hear you"
"Yes daddy"
"Alright then you staying the night?"
"Yes"
"Ite lets go" he let go of my neck and pecked my lips
We got out the car and entered the house
"Wassup bro" a dark skin guy said
"Nigga I thought you wasn't supposed to be back til Friday" Tre said crossing his arms
"I'm back early" he looked at me and licked his lips
"And who is this?" He asked looking at me up and down
Tre pushed me behind him
"This is Mauri, Mauri this is Rome my roommate"
"Hi" I said as I peeked from behind Tre
"Oh shit your Mauri? Nice to finally meet you" he backed up and stuck his hand out
I shook his hand and emerged from Tre
"He talks about you all the time his ass is sprung" he chuckled
I looked at Tre and he just shook his head
"Ite man we gonna head up to my room" Tre said grabbing my hand
"Ite bro imma head on out don't wait up" Rome left we proceeded to go up the stairs
