IThis chapter is dedicated to Sam, and I'll tell you why.
It all started 🎶yesterday🎶 (I had to 😂), when I took Sam on his afternoon walk and he walked next to me, so I told him, "this is called heeling, Sam." And when I told him "heel", he heeled! And he did it again this morning and afternoon. He is so smart and he understands me. I love him. 😊
Also this morning, while I was feeding him and going down memory lane on Facebook, I saw a picture of Sam beside a baby picture of him, and that's when I saw that Sam and I met 5 years ago today. And it was the best 5 years with him.

And I remember the day Sam and I met, and after adopting him for $1,500, we were leaving, and Sam started whining because he missed us and knew we were going to be his forever family. Then next week, we brought him home.
Going back to today, when I was taking Sam on his afternoon walk, we spotted a deceased hatching on the ground and the nest it was in the grass. I felt really bad about the hatching and still did throughout the rest of the walk.
