A/N: this was a story based on a very vivid dream, er nightmare, I had that all my friends told me to write down like 2 months ago and now it is here. Again no proofreading, we die with shitty grammar.

Dinner was... bland, it almost made me gag every time I brought the fork to my mouth. It's like I was eating salmon without any seasoning. There had to be something I could do to make the meal more tolerable, salt, maybe pepper? Anything would be better than this.
"Mom where's the salt?" I asked. Said woman looked around and started tapping here chin.
"We must have run out, there should be some down in the basement." She said, going back to eating her dinner. I groaned but got up from my chair and headed in the next room where the door to the basement was. "Oh and by the way," my mother called from the other room. "The salt is in this looked cabinet behind the stairs. The key should be right next to it." I responded with an 'okay' and ventured down into the basement. It was cold and murky down there. The lights buzzed as I clicked them on and scanned our unfinished basement for a cabinet. I spotted it in the very corner of the room, the part that was usually covered in shelving units and old Christmas decorations. The cabinet sat just were the light couldn't reach, in the very corner sitting on an old kiddy table covered in scribbles.
I walked over but noticed there wasn't a key anywhere in sight. Great, I thought, guess I'll just have to make a sandwich or something. As I was about to leave I noticed a glint in the corner of my eye. There, sitting on top of an old dusty rain boot was a key. A shelving unit stood between me and the key so I walked around and snatched it up, not bothering to think of how weird it was that the key was just sitting on an old boot, and not noticing that the boot had turned to face me when I walked around the shelf. I fiddled with the lock, trying to fit the key in with that little light that was left in the room, I'd almost had it when I noticed something move the the left of me. Behind the shelving unit a dark figure slowly grew from the ground, morphing into a large strange creature with long arms and one eye socket.
Salt was no longer important as I scrambled away from the growing figure and ran up the stairs, slammed the door shut and slide the lock closed. I leaned against the door and caught me breath, unsure of what I just saw. My sister poked her head of the kitchen and looked at me.
"Uh are you okay?" She asked. I shrugged unsure if I should tell her what I just saw. "Did you run all the way up stairs?" I nodded.
"I got spooked" I replied. Sam cocked her head to the side.
"By what?" She asked as she eyed the door behind me. I just responded simply,
"Boot Demon."

My dumbass kept spelling 'boot' as 'boat'. Anyway this is only part of the dream but the other half is stupid and has no sense of time so you only get the first half. If you wanna know what happens next uh the demon leave the basement as a little boy at 7pm??? And then comes back at 6am every day. So we get tired of the demon in our house, called an exorcist and the boy is nice to everyone except me because quote "I know you touched my boot" and then I woke up chuckling because boot demon.
