CHAPTER 2: School

YOUR POV

*Ring, ring, ring* "Songhye wake up!" I suddenly heard so I immediately opened my eyes and see my mom "Songhye, look what time it is, get up and get ready" she said and I look at the clock "Oh no, I'm going to be late!" I said then stand up as mom went out of my room. I take a bath and do my morning rituals before wearing my uniform then go out to eat breakfast, "Songhye, what time did you sleep last night?" Dad asked and I took a seat "11:00" I said then look at my wrist watch "What time did you go home? And what took you so long outside" mom asked but I am running out of time "Sorry mom I need to go to school now, we have a long quiz and I can't miss it I'll explain later" I said grabbing my stuffs then rush to the garage "Uncle, let's go now I'm running late" I said to our driver and make way to the school

As we are on the way I keep on checking my watch and I am already late "What should I do?" I said and look outside the window "Just a little bit more" I said when I already saw a glimpse of the school. When we arrive I got outside of the car as fast as I can "Thank you uncle" I said then run to the classroom, when I entered the room everyone is staring at me and the teacher stopped what she was doing "I was going to mark you absent Miss Lim" the teacher said to me and put her pen down "Sorry ma'am" I said "Why are you late?, this is the first time you did this" She asked and I looked down as I remembered what happen last night

FLASHBACK

"Come on Songhye, you decline last time too" Wonyoung said and I sigh "Look guys, I have a long quiz tomorrow" I said and Nayeon rolled her eyes "Girl, you're the smartest girl in school try to relax, gosh" she said and I frown "The four of us are smart, but you always pretend to be dumb" I said and Yunmi laugh "Okay, fine sure we will study if you hang out with us tonight" she said and I consider the thoughts "Okay fine, just this once because you three seriously need to study, what will your parents tell you" I said "Stop nagging us" Wonyoung said and I sigh "Let's go home early, so I can review" I said and they smiled "Okay! Now let's go to the mall!" Nayeon said "With our uniforms?" I asked them "No need to change, the mall awaits!" Yunmi said "You've got to be kidding" I said and they drag me inside the car then go straight to the mall...........

We sho- oh wait scratch that, THEY shop all night while I trail behind them looking at my phone and watch doing the best I can do to remind them what time is it, but we still ended up going home at 10:45 not being able to review at all!

END OF FLASHBACK

"Long story ma'am" I said shaking my thoughts off "Is it your friends from class A-3" she said and I looked at her "Knew it, Songhye you are in class A-1, the highest section come on" the teacher said "I understand ma'am" I said and she sigh "Since this is the first, I'll let you off okay" she said and I nod "Now take a seat" she said and I obey her orders

I take a seat and someone handed me a test paper so I grab it without hesitations, when I look in front of me I saw everyone glaring at the person who might gave me the test paper, so I decided to look at that person and it was Namjoon "Oh, sorry" I said and he looked down "No ne-need" he said and I blushed "But everyone is glaring at you" I said and he smiled at me "They'll glare even more if you talk to me" he said and I frown, oh how I want to punch all those who are glaring at him "Okay" I said and looked at the test paper once again "how I wish I review last night" I mumbled and started answering those questions that I knew, trying to ignore the fact that my crush is beside me

30 minutes had past and I am almost done "I thought I need to review" I mumbled once again while turning the page, but when I looked at the questions "Okay I take it back" I said when I see that the 4 final questions are hard, suddenly the teacher started walking around checking if someone's cheating but I didn't mind her cause I keep on focusing.

While I was struggling, I feel someone tap my shoulders, so I looked to that person "17.1107" he said and I looked at him in shock "what?" I asked him "17.1107" he repeated "did you just said the answer to me!" I suddenly yelled and everyone looked at us "Oh shit" I said and sigh heavier, I am so dead "Kim Namjoon! Lim Songhye! Detention after class!" the teacher yelled and I closed my eyes

TIME SKIP: After class

I enter the detention room and saw Namjoon was already there sitting near the window "Hey, I'm sorry" I said and he suddenly looked at me "H-huh" he asked and I looked down "For what happened in the class room, I didn't mean to shout I just got really shocked" I said and he nods then smiled "It's okay, it's my fault for telling the answer to you in the first place" he said "Now the famous girl of the school is stuck with a nerd like me" he added then looked down "I don't care" I said then seat beside him "I don't care if you're a nerd, did you think all popular people hates nerds" I asked him and he nod "You must be kidding! Not all of them are bad, there are those who have soft hearts!" I said making a huge heart sign and he snickered "Okay, if you say so" he said and we spend 1 hour in detention trying to cheer each other up......
